Magical Express question

Anyone know if someone who is traveling with you can use the Magical Express even though they are not on the hotel reservation yet will be staying there with you? My husband is going last minute and I cannot seem to get him added to my reservation.

You have to have a magical express reservation to ride it. You also have to have a Disney resort reservation to reserve a spot on magical express. They definitely won’t let an extra person on without a reservation - prob due to reimbursement since Mears runs magical express. I would call and get your husband added to your resort stay. If you have a package you may need to book the same ticket for him too

Just saw you are staying DVC. Not up on that so sorry I can’t help there. I would get an Uber or car service or something similar if you can’t get him added on.

Call member services and have them add his name to the reservation unless you’re renting points, then have the broker or owner do it.

She's renting points and her husband decided either today or yesterday to go. The trip starts Monday. AT least, that's what she posted in the DVC thread.

Not necessarily. I'm not sure how things are operating now, but in the past, you only needed a resort reservation to ride it. If you showed up without a DME reservation, you could approach the counter and they would assign you to a bus after verifying your resort reservation. I *think* they used to have an option where people who do not have a resort reservation could pay to ride, but I don't remember the details or know if its even offered as an option anymore.
