our flight leaves MCO @ 7:15pm...what time do you think our Magical Express pick up at the resort will be? When does the luggage have to be down at the front for loading on the bus?

About 3 hours prior to departure so 4:15. You have to be at the bus stop 15 minutes prior, so, 4:00. RAC opens around 5, so you will carry your luggage on the bus with you.

A 7:15 PM flight ....... when we have had RAC handle our luggage, it needed to be there at least 3 hours before the flight time. HOWEVER, I believe RAC used to close in the early afternoon, so you need to find out about that. We always had to have it there by mid-morning, so never paid a lot of attention, and it may have changed. If you're planning to go to the parks that day, you can bring your luggage to RAC in the early AM.

RAC ships luggage on a truck that is separate from the ME bus, but you always have the option of handling your own luggage. The ME bus driver will load it onto the bus when you board and you can check it in yourself when you reach MCO.

Hope you have a wonderful trip!!

As noted, with a 7:15 p.m. flight your DME bus will be scheduled to depart at around 4:15 p.m. and you should be at the stop and ready to go by 4:00 p.m.

The RAC desk is open from 5:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., so you will need to have your bags checked by 1:00 p.m. At one time you could not check in earlier than 12 hours before your flight time and I never have seen anything that says differently, but at some point a few posters indicated that was no longer a requirement. Regardless, I would plan on checking bags between 7:15 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Just a note...DME and RAC (Remote Airline Checkin) are not the same thing. Anyone flying home on an airline that participates in RAC is able to check their bags, and get boarding passes through RAC...even if they don't use DME.

So, having said that....for a 7:15pm flight, you will get a pickup time of between 4 and 4:30....depends on the resort you are at. If you choose to, and are flying out on a participating airline, you can take those checked bags down to RAC anytime after 5am, but prior to 1pm (they close at 1pm-ish). Then, you don't see your bags until you arrive at your home airport baggage claim. You can leave your carryon bags with Bell Services, then head out and have some last day fun.
If you choose not to use RAC, or you can't use it, leave your bags with Bell Services in the morning, and return to get them prior to your DME pickup time. You need to leave some addtl time for baggage retrieval at Bell Services though. So, you need to arrive at the DME bus stop no less than 15 mins before the stated pickup time. Add another 15 mins to that for bag collection.

Sorry i shouldn't answer questions after a long day. Apparently I lose the ability to read.
