Does anyone know how long the whole process is from getting on the bus to the bus actually departing for the hotels? Does your luggage get on the same bus as you, or is it transported seperately? I am just wondering b/c I know that could take forever sometimes and I am hoping we are not just sitting on the bus the whole time waiting.

Your luggage will be shipped seperately. I had a great experience on ME, it was about one hour total time from landing to resort. I guess it all about timing and luck, our ME bus was about ready to leave when we arrived and our resort was the first stop.

I will try to sum up what the 'sticky' at the top of the board says about DME....it takes about 5 minutes or so to check in at the DME desk. Then you are directed to the appropriate bus line. You most likely will be line no more than 10 minutes....I've never waited more than 5...so far anyway. Then, onto the bus. It depends on how many people are getting on as to how long you have to sit and wait. I have had 20 minutes as my longest wait..but I was the first one on the bus..usually more like 10 minutes. Then 30 minutes to the resort...actual time depends on how many resorts you are stopping at and where your particular resort falls in the line. No more than 4 resorts, more like 3, per run.

As far as baggage goes...if you have put on the yellow DME tags before leaving home, your bags will be taken by a different truck to the resort. Those bags will never reach the baggage claim area since they are pulled before that. Most people report having to wait a bit for their bags when they get to their resort. You have two options here...
1. pack a carryon for each person with anything they will need when you get to the resort...bathing suits, change of clothes (shorts, tees), meds, that sort of stuff. Then you can check in and go about your vacation without having to wait around for your luggage.
2. don't put the yellow tags on your bags. Then, when you get to MCO go to baggage claim as you normally would and claim your luggage. Take it with you to the DME area and it can be put underneath the bus you will be on. Then when you get to your resort you can leave your bags with Bell Services if your room isn't ready yet.

Hope this helps.

Hi! Goofy4tink sums it up nicely. DF and I used ME in Feb and had a good experience....very short waits to get moving and a short ride to the resort. We arrived late at night. We knew that our bags would not be travelling with us, so we each packed a carry-on with jammies, etc. :cloud9: When our bags arrived, the CMs put the message light on our phone (didn't ring it though! ;) ) When we woke up, we called the front desk and the bags arrived at our room in about 10 mins. It was so convenient, I would definitely use it again.
