Magical Express question re: late arrival

There has to be a "standard" procedure and the current procedure of going to the carousels yourself after 10 PM is easy to follow.

And I wondered if the standard procedure on their end was to leave at ten no matter what happened with delays or if their standard is to catch the delayed flights.

I was re re re reading my ME booklet last night and it occurred to me that if the employees that pulled the tagged bags aren't there them that means they come out onto the carousel. I was thinking that it was airport workers pulling aside the bags and DME employees taking them from there. But now I figure it must be DME workers both pulling them aside and transporting them.

And I also now realize that flyers who are delayed like that must be told at the DME desk that they need to run back and grab bags, if they weren't already told that before they got to the desk.

Yep, you are correct and I was totally wrong. I do apologize. Probably thinking of something else. Have a great day. :)

No biggie, but I just knew I had used it that late at night back when it first started. :)

Many airports aren't 24/7. Airport rental agencies typically extend their hours to accommodate customers, with reservations, on delayed flights. Obviously employees who handle luggage on those flights, and work the jetways etc also get their hours extended.

Disney could extend their hours to accommodate late flights.

When Disney first imposed the 10p rule I thought Disney should have held the luggage and sent it out the next morning. The first flights come in around 8a. I know we can find some exceptions. Assume luggage from the previous night went out a 8a and was delivered to the resorts by 9 or 9:30. I'm not sure about "regular" guests but a lot of DIS would not like getting their luggage delivered after they already left for the day.

PP are probably right, most guests arriving that late prefer to get their bags.

My "perfect" solution. People arriving after 10P (maybe the time could be adjusted) would not get their luggage until the next morning. The luggage would be delivered to the resorts after the last flights landed, 1a, 2a, 3a whenever. Your luggage delivery would be automatically scheduled 10 minutes after your wake up call.
