Magical Express possible day after checkout

We are having an issue trying to use Magical Express the day after checkout. After an 8 night stay at DVC Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House, we check out on Sun, March 22nd, yet our flight departs Mon, March 23rd at 5:20a. We were expecting Magical Express to pick us up 3 hours before departure, so about 2am Monday morning. 6 of us are staying in the 2 bedroom at Jambo House and my sister, who does not depart until the afternoon of Mon, March 23rd has a studio unit for her last night. At first the DVC person who replied to my Magical Express online request did not book Magical Express and reminded me that a studio only occupies 4 persons. I tried to explain the situation and the next DVC agent replied via email that we would have to be transported before midnight so it would be on the day of our check out or we had to get our own transportation. There are 5 of us so I think a taxi or Uber will be cheaper than a Mears shuttle for all of us. I called DVC to verify that at least our arriving transportation by Magical Express was made. He explained that he could not override the check out date and he made the reservation but it defaulted to our check out date of March 22nd and when he input our flight, it scheduled our pick up time for 2am Sunday morning. He gave me the Magical Express phone number and they said it was too early to schedule the pick up time and I had to call them back a week before or just request it at the resort guest services. But it is still sounding like they must pick us up before midnight on the 22nd and we will spend 5 hours waiting at the airport.

We check out at 11am from a 2 bedroom unit. We fly out at 5:20a the next morning. My sister will also be checking out of the 2 bedroom unit but will check into a studio unit since her flight departs late afternoon the next day. So thankfully we have a place to hang out and shower until we take our transport (whatever that may be) to the airport.

I am at AKL now. We check out of a 2 bedroom unit on Sunday and our flight departs on a Monday at 5:20a. Previously my Magic Express for our return back to the airport was entered in as a Sunday at 5:20a flight since that was the date we checked out. We explained the situation to a front desk person and our Magical Express transport was rescheduled for the day after our check out. 6 of us are checking out of the 2 bedroom and 5 of us have the early morning Monday flight but my sister who doesn't fly out until the afternoon is checking into a 4 person studio for Sunday night. My 3 kids are registered as official guests in her room. So not sure if because the kids officially check out on Monday and the hotel is 100% full so even if we wanted to book another room we would not be able to, they didn't seem to have a problem changing the Magical Express reservation for all 5 of us to the day after we check out.

The problem with threads like this is they make the "exceptions" the rules resulting in hysteria when someone actually gets told "sorry, but I am not breaking the rule for you" Just because someone does allow something nice does not mean that Disney is obligated to do this and remember when they say no the response of "But I read it on the DIS" really doesn't prove anything :)

Absolutely! Yes, most of the time you will get CMs that are happy to try and accommodate you. BUT....technically, in this case, the check out day should have been the DME day. But, it wasn't. And the CM made it possible to take DME the day after check out.
Yes, it will 'usually' happen this way, but nothing is etched in stone. You may be told no to begin with. You can then try a different CM...one that may say yes, they can do that for you. Or you could get a completely clueless CM who has no idea how to do it, even if they wanted to! So, ask and see what happens.
