Does anyone think it is wrong for a "Disney" magical express bus to be showing Shrek 2 (a non Disney movie) on the tv monitors? This occurred on our most recent trip.

That is very odd. They are competitors. How very strange :confused3

Plus the fact that I think Shrek 2 is rated PG? I, for one, have not let our children watch the Shrek movies for this reason. Disney movies are typically more family oriented, with a few exceptions.

On our way back our Mears bus was the black and yellow one. Our driver said she forgot her movies and cds. I think it is up to the driver if it is not a Mears bus with Mickey on it. I think you can take Mears buses to other places such as Universal Studios from your resort if you set it up ahead of time.

The motorcoaches are operated by Mears, and not by Disney. However, Disney's contract states that only the DME video is to be shown on the bus. Even still, due to copyright laws, drivers are not supposed to be playing movies, even though it's a nice thing.

Only the DME branded coaches come equipped with the DME DVDs. All the DCL coaches and the black & yellow Mears coaches have VHS players. If a driver knows they will be doing DME, they can sign out VHS versions of the DVD. But a lot of the time, they are just doing a DME run because they have spare time between charters, so they won't have access to the DME video.

It was the offical DME bus from Disney's Boardwalk to MCO. We have traveled many times with DME and have always experienced the "Disney" DME movie. All of our times I have not been impressed as I do not care for the Mears side of things. This particular trip I was even more discouraged as not only were they playing Shrek 2, the driver could not speak a word of English.
Very disappointing, not up to Disney standards.
