Magical Express & Pets

since they aren't allowed at any of the resorts I can't see why they would let them on the bus or why you would bring them either. service animals would have to be allowed by law, but not pets.

Could the OP be camping at Fort Wilderness which allows pets at the camp sites? Otherwise, why would anyone bring their pet along? We have a great dog boarder that our dog loves going too... saves us any headaches...

I was actually asking becuase my sister who is joining me will be bringing her dog and using the Disney kennel. Since I am using the magical express service she wanted to know if she could too.

Has your sister read about the kennels? From what I recall, she will need to walk her dog which only seems convenient if using the TTC kennel and staying at the Polynesian or using the FW kennel and staying there.

Whenever I've read the restrictions on the kennels, it always seems to me as if they are designed to keep pets during day trips. I love our dogs but don't take them to WDW.

I don't think your sister would want sparky in the luggage truck :(

No. Only service animals are permitted on the Magical Express buses http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/common/helpFAQ?id=HelpFAQDMEPage
"Q. Can I travel with a crated animal and use Disney's Magical Express Service?
A. Service animals are permitted to travel on the motor coach with their owner; unfortunately, no other pets are permitted to travel on the motor coach. If you wish to travel with a pet, you will need to make other transportation arrangements.

A year or so ago, I offered to fly my ds's cat down to Florida for him. Since I was going to WDW anyway, it was no big deal. I had already booked DME and I called to ask them if it would be possible to bring the crated cat with me on the bus. A most definetive no was their answer. I was going to have my ds meet me at BW and take the cat...not even go into the resort, just meet him in the parking lot. He had to drive up to MCO and pick me and the cat up, then drop me at BW and continue on to Tampa.
There's no way I would bring my pet to WDW with me. Way to much hassle going to and from the kennel.

I thought kennels were for daily use only, but I guess you can use them overnight... a cost of $23-25 a day, plus the guest has to go walk their dog 2-3 times per day... seems like a big hastle, plus the pet going through the stress of travel. Not worth it to me.

It is great to read if pets are left in cars, the cars will be broken into and pets removed.:thumbsup2 Love the hefty fine as well.

I know that this will be difficult for my sister. We are staying at the Poly and she is using the TCC kennel. It is worth it to her so I am not going to push the issue with her. She will have to find all this out herself. I am merely trying to collect information for her so that she can make an informed decision.

While she is taking care of her dog I will be with my dd and brother in law and niece in the parks.
