Magical Express or Limo?

We are still undecided about whether to get a limo for our airport transfers or use Magical Express. I know the limo would be more luxurious but is it worth the extra $$? I don't need luxury but I do want to get to my hotel in a timely manner. Your opinions - Please!

DME is just as timely as car services, on average. According to a Disney CM, the average time between landing and resort drop-off is 70 minutes. You can't expect a substantially shorter amount of time with a car service, unless you are not checking any luggage and not making a grocery stop.

Don't let the fact that DME is free make you think it's substandard. It's great! It's not private, it's not personalized, it's not luxurious, but it's quick, comfy and convenient.

I have used towncars about 6 times now, and DME 3 times. The only time I got to my resort faster using a towncar was the one time I flew with carryon bags only. That time I got to my resort in about 50 minutes.....30 minutes from the airport to my resort, and about 20 mins from plane to towncar driver and then to the car.
Otherwise it has taken me, on average, about 70 mins to get from the plane to my resort. With a towncar, and checked baggage it took about 65 minutes. I know there will be times when I will use a towncar service, but for the most part I will choose to save that $100 (or so) plus $25 tip and use it for a few meals at WDW.
But, for those who choose a more luxurious experience, as well as that 30 min stop for groceries (I use a grocery deliver service that delivers to my resort, charges about $15-20 fee), then a towncar service is the way to go. But I find the DME buses to be quite comfy, not crowded, and efficient, as well as free. And lets not get into the whole 'but is it really free' discussion!!!!

The DME busses are luxury coaches, not school busses. They are very comfortable. And considering the price difference (okay, it's probably part of your room rate), I can't see spending money on a limo. For what you would pay for a limo, you could rent a car for your trip and have transportation the entire time.

Why don't you let DH make the choice!

I'm having the same dilemma. We hired a limo last trip and loved it but I'm very tempted to try DME.

I used ME in August - thought it was wonderful!
Very comfortable bus and easy process. I picked up my own luggage, checked in at the counter...arrived at the resort under an 1 1/2 hr.
I plan to use it again.
