I heard that we are responsible for our luggage from the Baggage Claim to the Welcome Center. Is this true? I was under the impression that Disney takes care of my luggage the minute it is put on the plane.
Just be aware, if a lot of people start bringing all their checked luggage to the bus with them, DME may be forced to make some changes. There is only so much room underneath those buses.
I checked with the appropriate CM's and DME is currently "suggesting" that guests take their own bags with them so that they don't have to wait until the morning to receive their bags. However, if the guests have put yellow tags and really want the luggage transfer service, they will still send the bags to the resort seperately.

There's plenty of room underneath the coachThere have been many times that I had a fully loaded coach, and fit all the luggage just fine. And really, the drivers probably like this more. Sure, its more work, but it usually means more tips.
For everyone? or just those arriving after 11p?
Leaving in a week!!!!!!![]()
I know you think it really is a non-issue for you. But for me and my family, it is a HUGE issue. We already have our airfare to arrive at 10:58 pm and I have 3 young children. I know there are not that many people that arrive later in the evening, but we are one of those people and we are very concerned. I was really happy after all my research, knowing that I could get my luggage, even if at 3 am. I was really relieved that I didn't have to wait for the luggage with my tired kids. This is really a 'non-issue' folks. There are just not that many people who are impacted by these late night arrivals. Yes, we certainly would like to get a definative word as to how they get their luggage. But for the rest of us, there is no need for concern.
