I understood your tone was light, just wanted to share a completely different opinion/experience of doing laundry. My experiences doing laundry at WDW have sometimes been a comedy of errors.
We often visit WDW in spring, when weather's often a bit unpredictable. More than once, the long-term forecast said mid-70's, but actual temps were much cooler. Instead of the shorts we'd packed, we got stuck wearing jeans+3 shirts+ jackets every day. (and still shivering!)
Needless to say, it was also too cold to swim, and totally not what we were expecting.
The last time I did laundry, we were at CR. The laundry room was a bit of a hike from our tower room. It is located in the Garden wing, and not even on the ground floor of the garden wing. It is confusing even to find it. (Laundry rooms are much easier to find at the newer hotels!) It is located part way down the hall on - I think- the middle of three floors? It is a rather obscure location, and there are no signs, except on the actual door. I always have a hard time finding it. I mean every time I try to find it.
Alas, I was with extended family; we pooled our laundry with the expectation that we'd ALSO share the work. I was such a fool! Nope, everyone else proceeded to fall asleep almost as soon as I first left the room! Grrr, I got stuck staying up until midnight by myself.
Except that the water parade happened just while I was trying to get the washer started. The only open washer was like jammed in a corner. At the time, you had to pay with your KTTW card (room key), but the card reader was squashed in such a way that I couldn't QUITE get it to read my card properly. Of course, just AFTER I got it started, another machine became available. I exited just as the water parade was finishing.
And so it went....

The funniest laundry memory I have of doing WDW laundry came once when I was waiting to rotate laundry. Mine was still washing, but the woman beside me was ready to rotate. ALL the dryers were taken, but most of the loads had finished. People's laundry was just sitting there hogging the dryers.
She waited patiently for a few minutes, then finally said out loud, "Ah _____ it! It is my vacation time too!" And proceeded to sheepishly empty a dryer.
The way she said it was pretty funny. "It is my vacation time too!" became a joking meme for us the rest of that trip whenever someone took too long.
