Magical Express - Is it worth it??????

If I checked in mid-afternoon, and when I got back to my room later in the evening and my bags weren't there? I would be at Bell Services, chatting with them.

I actually had this happen the first time I used ME, although I checked in at 6:00, and at 11:30 when I got back from MK, my bag wasn't in my room. I went to the front desk and the CM went into a back room, and it just so happened my bag was there (it had apparently just gotten there.) I'm not sure, but I think it may have had something to do with the fact that I had been bumped from my original flight and put on a different one that left later and had a layover. The reason I say that is because I remember hearing the CM mention the name of an airline other than the one I had flown on, so it made me think that when I got bumped, so did my luggage (although I don't know why my luggage would've been put on an entirely different airline.)

I agree with this. DH is very impatient. And I don't like stopping at a ton of resorts before we get to ours.

I'm pretty sure that the ME buses don't usually stop at more than 4 resorts and those resorts should be close together. Personally, I like being able to get a glimpse at other resorts.

Did you do anything when you realized you had no bags delivered? If you arrive at the resort between 2 and 3pm, your bags should be in your room by 5 or 6. I can only imagine that one would start looking for the bags by that time.
A wait like you seem to have experienced would be very unusual once, but twice? Unheard of.
If I checked in mid-afternoon, and when I got back to my room later in the evening and my bags weren't there? I would be at Bell Services, chatting with them. Then, I would instruct them not to disturb me that night. They could deliver the bags in the morning. I would then hang out the 'privacy' please sign on my door. And usually, phone calls late at night, from Disney, are on silent...they don't actually ring. You wake up to a message in the morning.
It would seem that you had some very bad luck, twice!!

The first time we went for lunch in DTD And returned approx 7pm I asked bell services where were they and was told that they hadn't arrived he said they would be there within the hour so I asked for them to be sent up when they arrived. At 10 pm I rang down and was I would have my bags soon.i fell asleep watching tv waiting for he bags which didn't arrive until 3:30am.I let my feelings known to the manager of the resort at the time and he was very nice and understanding about the situation

Thanks for the info. There was some kind of really odd occurrence there. That is really odd. When you asked Bell Services the first time, I can't imagine how they knew the bags would be there within an hour. And again, at 10pm??? Still they're telling you 'soon'?? Yeah, some issue going on. Glad you talked to a manager. That is a very uncommon occurrence.

We have used ME many times. We love it. Sure a few minor snafus along the way, but we wouldn't have it any other way. I think Disney does an amazing job with ME. So worth it! And it's free free free! :)
