I just called Disney to add my flights to my reservations for ME. I have 2 linked reservations: DD and I in one room and DH, DS18, and DS15 in the other. (Since I had more than 2 adults, I was required to designate someone else as the one in charge of the 2nd reservation; I couldn't book them both under my name.)

Anyway, DH and DS18 and flying down in the morning and DS15, DD and I are flying down in the evening of the same day.
The CM was unable to put DS15's flight info. into the computer since it didn't match DH and DS18's and he was underage. It didn't matter that it matched mine and DD's.
The CM told me that all I'd have to do was check in at the ME "office" when I got there and tell them about DS15 and that we'd be fine. Does that sound right?

I am not worried about the yellow luggage tags, as we don't arrive until 11:30 that night so we will be grabbing our own luggage.
Just want to make sure we won't have any problems getting on the bus.

Thanks for any info. I haven't taken ME since 2008, so it's been quite a while. :goodvibes

I've twice had to adjust DME reservations when my ex decided very close to vacation time to come a day later than everyone else. I think one time they were able to move it over the phone and the other time, they said just show up at the desk. I am pretty sure he did not have the booklet that they scan either time and had no issues getting on a bus. I can only assume they could verify he was part of our reservation online and it was fine.

While I certainly wouldn't recommend just showing up, you did call and can also provide the check in slip to each member of your party in advance. Also I am pretty sure there is a way to talk to the DME people directly (through Mears??) to verify your times. Not positive if this has changed since 2012!

The only thing you should worry about is the trip back home from the hotel to the airport. I am pretty sure they check a roster for that part and won't let "extras" on the bus.

Thank-you for the information. We will be fine on the way home as we will be coming from Universal. :)

Try calling DME directly at 866-599-0951.

Thanks for the number. I'll call them on Monday.:thumbsup2

These are not sure fire but all three should make getting on the bus a certainty:

1. Ask for, write down, and bring with you the name and city of at least two people you talked to on the phone together with a summary of the conversation. Make more calls as needed to get this info.

2. They aren't going to leave an underaged person seemingly without a Magical Express reservation behind at the airport while the rest of his family boards the DME bus. (If the underaged family member did not have a slot in a booked resort room then an adult family member would be forced to correct that.)

3. As everywhere else, the squeaky wheel at the DME counter ... .

Certainty -- Probability of 100%.
Impossibility -- Probability of zero percent.

Doesn't matter. As long as your ds shows in the DME system, he is good to go. It doesn't matter who's room he is in. If he is listed on a room reservation, he should be able to be listed on a DME reservation. Call DME and get him added to someone's room reservation.
Geez, Disney makes things way too hard sometimes.:confused3

Thank-you everyone. :)
I called Magical Express directly and they were able to put in the correct flight info. for everyone with no difficulties at all. :thumbsup2

Good to know. It had to be a CM issue on Disney's end.
