Magical Express Evening Flight Questions

Hello, I'm hoping someone can answer a question or two for me. I will be going down for a brief 2 night trip next week and have arranged to be taken to and from our resort by Magical Express. Our flight will arrive on friday night at 8. We only have carry on luggage so that gets taken on the bus with us correct?

Second question: Our departing flight on sunday is not scheduled to fly out until 6pm. I know that they advise that we get on ME 3 hrs early. So that would bring us to 3pm. We are staying at All Star Movies, the check-out time is 11am. I don't wish to have a later checkout, we plan to go enjoy downtown Disney, or the boardwalk, or just hang out at the resort pool. The real question is. Will they hold our luggage at the desk from 11am (checkout time) until 3pm (ME departure time)?

Last Question: If we do decide to leave resort property and go to Downtown Disney, it won't be a problem for us to just go back to All Star Movies to catch the Magical Express, right?


Thank you in advance for any response someone can give. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I've never done Disney without a car, and I've never flown there either. So, I just want to make sure I have all the little duckies in a row!

Yes your carry on will go with you on the bus. It has to be stowed in the luggage compartment.

Yes you can leave your bags with bell service on check out day.

Yes you can go to DTD and then back to your resort. Just make sure you are at your resort by 2:30 so you have time to collect your luggage. When leaving DTD I would be at the bus stop no later than 1:30 to make sure you have enough time to get back to your resort.

The morning before your departure day, you'll receive paperwork under your door indicating the time the ME bus will be picking you up. You should be at the bus stop 15 minutes in advance because the listed time is when your bus is scheduled to leave the resort.

While you need to be on the bus platform 15 minutes before your scheduled bus back to the airport, you should plan to be back at your resort an hour before that.

Bus service to and from Downtown Disney is notoriously bad. I don't understand why, since DtD has all those shops and restaurants that make all that money off of guests. If your plan goes awry, it is possible you may need to take a taxi back to your resort.
