Magical Express - do names have to match?

DH might have to cancel at the last minute (or come down 3 days late). If he can't come, we are still going to go and my mom will just take his place.

Do I need to call magical express and get new documents? Or can I just use the ones we have even though it will have my DH's name instead of my mom's name? Do they care as long as the number of people stays the same?

Well...the names should be the same sex, I would think. And...if your dh comes down a few days later, how is he going to get there??? It's going to show that he has already used his voucher for his ride to the resort.
I would add your mother now...just to be on the safe side. But, she does have to be listed on the room reservation in order to use DME. So, you can't call DME to order new tags in her name if she isn't listed.

I say it is worth a try, making the best guess as to whether it will be DH or Mom who comes initially, and making reservations accordingly.

If you guess wrong then try to switch names as soon as is possible. If you don't get the new Magical Express documents in time I say it is safe to bring and use the last set you got, writing in corrections in ink as needed before going to the welcoming area counter.

If Mom made the trip and then DH decides to join you 3 days later, you would add DH before he arrives and then he gets his Magical Express trip. If you get the decision the day before he will arrive then do the paperwork immediately even if it is in the morning and you would miss a rope drop. (Won't work if the room is at full occupancy before adding DH.)

I should have clarified, if DH can come 3 days late, then my mom won't come at all, so no problem with getting him to the resort or occupancy levels, etc. It's only if DH can't get away at all that my mom will come to help me wrangle the kiddos! LOL!!!!
