Hi, we leave in 21 days!!! I am so excited.

I have a question about our last day. Our flight leaves Orlando at 6:20pm. I know magical express will pick us up several hours before the flight, but what do we do with our luggage during the day?

Is it picked up right from our room?

Thanks!

Going off memory...

RAC (baggage check in) is only open until 1pm. So unless you are using a "non-participating" airline or you'd just rather bring the (checked) bags with you to the airport...

Get up and pack in the morning. Call Bell Services to come get your bag. One of you needs to go with the bags to the RAC desk. They can check your party in for your flight AND check your bags. You will then next see them at your home airport. Leave your carry on bags with the bell hops (luggage service).

Go to the park and enjoy yourself. ME will probably want you at the hotel by 3... I'd get back around 2:30, get your bags from bell hops and wait on the bus.

If you don't want to check your bags at the hotel, let the luggage services store everything while you enjoy yourself.

As sam_gordon wrote, you can use Resort Airline Check-in (RAC). Most major airlines that serve MCO now participate in RAC, which is a remote skycap service at your WDW resort hotel. They can print your boarding passes and check your bags through to your final domestic destination.

Or, if you can't use or don't want to use RAC, you can have all your bags stored by bell services until you return to your resort for your DME coach pickup. If you use RAC, you may still want to have your carry-on bags stored by bell services.

A couple of comments about tipping: On your arrival day, if you use DME as designed, the DME service officially includes the gratuity to deliver your bags to your room (that's why you don't have to wait in your room for the bellman). But on your departure day, it's customary to tip anyone at the resort who assists you with your bags (bell services, RAC skycap, DME driver).

Great advice. Logging it into my notes for our trip. Thanks.:thumbsup2
