Magical Express Day After Checkout

I am going to be running a race at Disney on October 26th. The race starts at 9:30pm and the after race party runs until 1am. After the party, I plan on heading to the airport for my early morning flight home. My question is can I still use Magical Express early Sunday morning even though I checked out of my Disney hotel Saturday?

Thanks for any responses....

Sorry, the latest word is "no".

I'm not sure ME even runs up 'til midnight as no planes depart then (even though you are not required to have a plane ticket in order to use ME).

I hate early morning flights.

Well... they won't make a reservation BACK to MCO without a flight number. And having done some research you are correct, there are NO flights that late out of MCO.

(And I hate to say this, but how does the OP plan to get clean? I am running this race too. I can't imagine getting on a plane at MCO after a race and several hours of Disney rides... even in late October it will probably be hot and humid. I don't want my fellow passengers to "smell" me coming!)

I would suggest using Mears. It's less than $30 for one person. I have done this with Mears before. I had a 5:30 am flight. Checked out the previous morning, stayed at the parks, came back and took a shower at the bath house by pool, went to PI till closing, Mears picked me up at 2:45 am. As far as getting clean, check out, store your stuff with luggage services, and have one small bag with your change of clothes and toiletries, and use the shower at the pool.

I once made a reservation with DME for a 10:00 PM pickup back to the airport, after a Food & Wine Festival event. I explained that we would be staying at an airport hotel that night, and flying out the next morning. The DME CM had no problem with this. She did advise me absolutely not to miss the DME pickup, because there would not be a later DME bus.

Even though there aren't scheduled flight departures at 1:30 a.m., there are DME motorcoaches heading back to airport to handle arriving passengers.

We ended up changing our travel plans, so I can't report on how it all worked out. I assume my wife and I would have been the only passengers on the DME motorcoach.

Good point. Usually it's possible to use a shower at a resort's exercise room on check-out day -- but that's not an option after the exercise rooms close for the evening.

Under these circumstances, I'd get a room at an airport area hotel -- ideally at the Hyatt in the airport. It would be worth it for the shower and for some sleep, even if it's only a few hours of sleep.

I hate early morning flights too.
