Magical Express Confirmation?

I am a little confused about whether or not to expect a confirmation for booking Magical Express. I booked this yesterday for our December trip, and I was told that we would not receive a written confirmation. But I thought I read here that others have received confirmations. We are DVC members and booked ME through Member Services, so I do not know if this makes a difference. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

I had the same question when I booked mine a couple of weeks ago for December. They sent me an new confirmation in the mail, but there was no mention of ME, which made me a little nervous. I checked online and found it listed on my reservation there, but I never did receive any kind of confirmation in the mail.

No separate confirmation is given. It's tied to your resort ressie. You will receive a package/booklet about three weeks prior to your departure with all of the information you need for your trip.

I booked my DME through the DVC website yesterday. They said I would receive an email confirmation within 48 hours. We'll see I guess.

Thanks for the responses! If there is no confirmation then I think that I will just call a couple of weeks before we leave to be sure that we are in the system.

This will be our first time using ME. We got an e-mail confirmation the same day we booked it. Yesterday we received our package/booklet with the luggage tags (almost 3 weeks exactly from when we leave).

At the very least get the name of the person you talked to on the phone when you discuss and ask for written confirmation.

Effective Nov. 1, 2005 ME is not supposed to be taking "walk up" customers where the prior policy essentially hid all the reservation glitches. How they will deal with "missing" reservations now is still an unknown but you want all the confirmation information you can get.

I booked DME through an email to DVC Member Serivces about three weeks before my scheduled trip. I received an email confirmation within 24 hours. I received the actual envelope with the information about two weeks before departure.

We rec'vd our DME tags exactly three weeks prior to our trip! We booked through DVC and we did not get a confirmation so my advice would be if you do not get them three weeks out which it seems like most of us DVCer's have then give them a call! ASAP!
