My question is actually a few questions regarding transportation.
We are flying into Orlando Airport the day before departing on the 4 night Disney cruise. We are renting a condo for the full time of our "stay" in FL, our condo rental is actually begining this night, then we are departing on the cruise for 4 nights, then coming back to the condo for another week after that. We had to rent the condo that way unfortunately. I was wondering if we could take the ME to the dock from the airport, then take a cab the few miles to the condo, and a cab again back to the dock in the am to board the ship. We were going to rent a car for the time we are at the condo but didn't want to pay for it the four days we are on the ship as well as parking it when we are gone. Anyone got any ideas/feedback on this?

Magical express only provides transportation to WDW resorts, not to the port. I think you can purchase transportation to the port through the Disney Cruise Line, but I don't know the cost or rules regarding taking on a day other than your cruise date.

You can purchase transfers through the DCL or you can arrange your own transporation - there is a sticky up top with information on towncars, rentals, Mears, etc.

ME is exclusively for the use of people who are staying on-site or who book the land/sea package and start their trip for a few days or end their cruise with a few days at Disney. Those people still have to pay for the transfer from the resort to the cruise line through their package.

It is not for people who are renting condos off-site before heading to the cruise line.

Another alternative, and you'll have to crunch the numbers, rent a car upon arrival and then turn it in at Port Canaveral. Upon arrival back, rent a car for the remainder of your stay. The Port Canaveral/Cocoa Beach car rental places have a shuttle to/from the Port.

You'll have to crunch the numbers using whatever rental codes you have. We are flying into Sanford for a Carnival cruise and are renting a car for one day before the cruise and then for 1/2 day after the cruise. Total cost for us is $96 ... much cheaper than paying for transportation for my DH and self. The code I used was a corporate code from work that allows for one-way drop-offs.

Anyway, crunch the numbers and see what you come up with.
