Magical Express and Transfers?

We are stopping in Atlanta from Los Angeles and then finally to Orlando. The layover will be for 60 minutes and my magical express tags only have my 1st flight number on it and not the lay over flight number. Should I be worried because the plane that the luggage will be on does not fly directly to Orlando and that means the people working at Atlanta's airport will need to know what plane to put it on. Has anyone used magical express while having to do transfers? My friends are telling me to play it safe and ditch it all together

Lots of people have layovers and use DME with no issue at all. DME really doesn't care about what plane your bags are on...they see those yellow tags come off the plane and they grab the bags! It's just more of a planning thing for them...they like to have a ballpark time of arrival so they can plan on the number of buses needed. I wouldn't worry about it.

When you check your bags in LA, they will attach the tag that the Atlanta baggage handlers will use to ID your final destination. The airport baggage handlers will take no note of your DME tags until the bags are at MCO.
