I just found out that United changed our flights. We now get into Orlando at 10:35 p.m. 9:35 was bad, but geez!! :scared1: Can we still use the Magical Express? Do the buses run after 10:00? Or would we better off taking a cab or getting some other type of transporation to our resort?

Thanks!!

Buses run 24 hours a day. There is no such thing as a flight too late or too early to be served by DME.

However, it's a different story with luggage. People on flights arriving between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. will need to go to baggage claim to claim their own luggage, and then bring the luggage to DME with them. The driver will load it under the bus, and you'll get it back as soom as you are dropped off at your resort.

ME runs 24/7. However, luggage will only be picked up if you arrive before 10pm. Anyone arriving after 10pm will have to go pick up their luggage, then proceed to the ME counter.

What airline? How much luggage? You'll have to get your luggage then make your way to the DME welcome area. SW passengers have to get their check luggage then go back up to level three, walk to the opposite corner of the airport then go down to level one. SW still allows 2 checked bags per passenger, a carry on bag and a personal item. I'd consider a car service rather then having to drag a lot of stuff to the opposite corner of MCO and bring it outside to the bus to be loaded.

Unless your on a very tight budget, the extra $50-$60 for a car service makes sense. It's a shame Disney doesn't officially offer an option of letting DME/airlines hold your bags at MCO for delivery the next morning.

Actually, I thought you could opt to have your bags delivered the next morning to your room if you were arriving after 10:00 pm.

Since most people would not want their bags delivered within three hours of check-in, if they are arriving after 10:00 pm, they don't pick them up for delivery for that night.

I believe they will still pick them up, but won't deliver them till the next morning.... isn't that correct?

Never mind - that is correct. The policy changed in March of this year. You no longer have delivery service, if you are between 10:00 pm and 5 am.

We used DME in February and had a very late arrival as well. I thought we would be the only crazies on the bus that late at night - wrong!! The bus was 3/4 full and of course, the driver played the Disney promo video at top volume, so everyone was UP and chattering away!

You will have lots of company!

How late did you a arrive. I'll be arriving during a "value" season at 1:00 a.m. I don't think the bus will be too full???

It may not be too full, but you have no clue which resorts it will have to go to!

We have a flight that is scheduled to arrive at 10:03 (tonight coincidently!!!). I know that airlines pad thier arrival times to help them boost their ontime performance.

If the flight arrives a bit before 10PM (even thought its was scheduled to arrive after 10PM) will DME take the bags?

I assume I could ask the DME CM when we arrive tonight... but was wondering if anyone has experience w this fact pattern.
