I have a 9:55 P.M. flight on the last day of my stay. Do I have to hang around at the resort with my luggage or am I able to put it somewhere and go to the park for the day? I tried looking on Disney's website but found no info.. Help!!

If you're flying on an airline that participates in Resort Airline Check-in (RAC), you can check your bags and get your boarding passes between 5:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at your resort's RAC center. (The next time you see your checked bags will be at baggage claim at your home airport.) You can leave your carry-on bags with bell services at your resort.

If you're not flying on an airline that participates in RAC, you can leave all your bags with bell services at your resort.

Then go off and have fun! Just make sure you get back to your resort and retrieve any bags you left with bell services well before your scheduled DME pick-up time. A tip to bell services is appropriate when they return your bags to you.

If the DME driver stows bags for you, a tip is appropriate when your bags are returned to you.

If you were not able to use RAC, you'll need to check your bags at the airport at your airline counter or with a skycap for your airline. If you use a skycap, a tip is appropriate.

Thank you for your reply! I am staying at Caribbean Beach Resort and booked directly with Disney so I am flying JetBlue. I hope this will allow me to check my bags in at the hotel then go off to enjoy the last day!

You should be good to go. I've been told that you are not allowed to check your bags with RAC (remote airline checkin) more than 12 hrs before flight departure...that would have you checking your bags at 10am. If you want to try to check them earlier than that, you can head down to the RAC counter and ask them that morning. I like to check my bags, get my boarding passes issued and then head off to the parks for the day. Just be sure you are back at the resort no less than 3.5 hrs before flight departure. I assume you are using DME, so you will have a pickup time of around 6:45-7:15. Be back at the resort by 6:15 to get any carryon bags and head to the DME bus stop 15 mins before your pickup time.

RAC won't allow that. You do need to check in no sooner than 12 hours before your flight, which is something of a dilemma in this circumstance. If the OP doesn't want to hang around the resort until 10:00 a.m. to check their bags, they can leave them with bell services and collect them when they get back for their DME pick up.

I was hoping to use RAC as well, but our flight is 9pm and I'd like to open the park that day, so guess I'll be checking my own bags at the airport. I sure wish you could check in earlier than 12 hours prior to your flight!!

Before you give up on the idea of using RAC, call Disney's Magical Express Guest Services at 1-866-599-0951. (Then please update this thread with what they tell you.)

The online rules used to say your flight had to be between 3 and 12 hours after your RAC check-in. But now the wording is: "Simply visit the Resort Airline Check–In desk no less than 3 hours prior to departure time during operating hours (5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. daily)." There's no longer anything about having to be within 12 hours.

Thank you so much Horace for this information! I did call and the CM I spoke with said as long as it's between the hours of 5am and 1pm we would be good. She said it's exactly as it reads and no longer needs to be within the 12hours.
