So, we are planning a trip in June for my Nieces visit. On the schedule is this:
Magical~ Disney's New nighttime spectacular of magical celebrations in the stars.
Well , it sounds fantastic. Anyone know what this is?:wizard:

It's the new fireworks show, and I heard that there is going to be a release of confetti at the end over the audience (sort of like the snow released around Xmas time).

And it will be the first time Dumbo flies above the castle (mechanical Dumbo will fly I believe on the same zip line as Tinkerbell, at different times of course...). It also will have tributes to Pinocchio, Mary Poppins and others throughout the fireworks. It sounds really good, and I can't wait to see it!

That sounds amazing! I wish I could get the chance to see the old one too. Oh well I'll be an AP holder as long as I live in California so I'm sure I'll see a couple of different ones over the next 3+ years.

Here's s more detailed view from what this 14 year old has summed up...

Magical, the new fireworks spectacular, is all about magic and wishes and dreams. It sounds absolutely amazing. The vocals are done by Eden Espinosa, who played Elphie in Wicked in LA. Disney never stops creating. This show really combines storytelling AND fireworks. You're going on a "journey" with Peter Pan and the magic of childhood, Pinnochio and the magic of a wish, Mary Poppins with magic of imagination, Dumbo with the magic of a mother's love and finally, the magic of a kiss. The two who will fly across the sky are Dumbo and Tink. Magical has its own theme song (of course) with a four orchestral piece and a huge choir. It's truly going to be a spectacular event.

My mother and I scheduled a trip this summer just to see "Magical" as well as the new additions to Fantasmic and ELP(did you hear about these?). I am so excited I could die!!! The last time I saw fireworks and ELP at DL was when I was 10 years old. I cant wait!!!!!:woohoo:

The Remember...Dreams Come True fireworks show is expected to return in the fall.

Yes, thanks for reminding me! I just get so excited when it comes to the firework shows... they're my favorite part of the magic. And they give me the best photo opportunities as a photographer!

We are going on our first DL trip in July. Where is the best place to be to watch this fireworks show?

We just got back from Disneyland on Saturday night. We were lucky enough to be sitting in the Plaza for dinner on Thursday, when an announcement was made that a preview of the new fireworks show would shortly take place. We stayed put and watched it! It was fabulous! Dumbo flying was so incredible!

The next night (our last night in the park) we watched them again. It really is an incredible show!

We really like to sit at Coke Corner to watch the fireworks, since you can see the flying, and the castle. However, we watched the fireworks from the train station on Friday night, and it was a good view. The only drawback was you couldn't see Tink or Dumbo flying.

They are also re-vamping Fantasmic and the Electrical Parade.!

The best place to watch the fireworks is in the Main Street area, where you can see the castle, the Matterhorn, and the sky to the left of the castle. You'll see a good show. :)

I'm going to try & see the show from the Small World area & take pics so we can compare.

We were in the circle at the end of mainstreet for the fireworks. (about 15 feet from a turkey-leg stand). We had a perfect view of the castle. Most of the fireworks took place slightly to the left of the castle as you're facing it, but a good amount came from behind the castle.

Overall it was fun...first big fireworks display that the kids have scene. Our 7yr old daughter pointed out the zip line that Tink and Dumbo were flying on. Tink seemed to really have the hang of it, but Dumbo sorta drifted backwards at one point.

Hearing Flora and Merryweather (I think it was them) argue over red or blue coloring (and having the castle and the fireworks change as they argued) was pretty great.

There was a huge confetti blow at the end--green rectangles and mickey ears. Once that was over, it was a race down main street to try to catch the last ART shuttle. (which ended up being 8 people over capacity all told).

Media had a platform set up at the end of main street for their cameras, which made space even tighter.

All in all it was pretty cool. Hoping the new Fantasmic doesn't disappoint tomorrow :D

also heard the crocodile isnt going as well as its suppose to. Heard its sinks now.

We had a view of the fireworks on Thursday night right in front of the Partners statue. It was not not that crowded at all. We literally walked in right before the fireworks and found a place right in front of the vips. It was a beautiful show!
