Magical Deal at the Poly for 2015

i called in a deposit today for the Contemporary. The TA said I could pay the rest with Disney gift cards which I really like to get gas points.
So when you get the account number from them you look on My Disney Experience to get your reservations?? Love the price
 
My understanding my from TA is that some offers they include the dining plan and some they don't. It depends on the best offer they have for their client from the internal department they work with :).
Does anyone know why you can't add a dining plan for this? We prefer the ease of paying in advance and just swiping our band
 
Can't you still "swipe your band"? Just put a credit card down at check in and then pay via your band when you eat.

Before you check out, then cash-in all of your gift cards and pay the balance.

You would not know the difference between having a meal plan or not.
 

Yes you could swipe your band I believe and pay the balance at checkout.
As long as you have a credit card on file. I will take the gift cards and pay as I go at the restaurants. I am going to use the Disney dining calculator to estimate how much we will spend and get gift cards before I go.
 
Just make sure you pay your balance the night before you check out. They charge credit cards the night before check out.
 
After deciding aDisney December topped October, I changed the dates of my magical stay. They are offering the same deal for December so price remained the same. When they updated my MDE page with new dates, my tickets appeared!

My impatience is probably showing here, but how long after the acknowledgement email did you receive your quote? The email address at the bottom of the offer came back as undeliverable. I went directly to the website to try and get a quote. That was about 5 or 6 days ago and haven't heard back yet other than the standard email that someone would be in touch soon.

I received my quote the next day. I submitted it in the evening and had it the next afternoon. Sorry it's taking so long for you. Maybe you can email one of the agents directly. I saw a list of them at the bottom of their website. I worked with Shelly and her email address is her name@ then their website address.
 
My quote came within 24 hours.


So relieved the tickets showed up. I have not had good TA experiences in the past (why I stopped using one) so I was worried this was going to be another "had I done it myself this wouldn't be happening" moment. Whew!

I can message you the email address of the TA I've been working with. I booked a trip with them for BC the 16-23 of August next year. The price for a week at BC was less than half what it would have cost booking directly from Disney ($1200 versus $2600). I'm getting APs for my kids and me, but got s six-day hopper pass for my sister. It's showing in MDE and was there as soon as I plugged in the confirmation number I got from my TA. She has been fabulous. I got my quote from her within a day and she's been great about responding to other questions.

Occasionally I have heard about their return emails going to spam? You may want to check. If not, just get a direct email address. All of the agents listed on the website have their own email. It's just name @ full agency name dot com. I don't think it's a service issue you are dealing with.....it's probably just that the form didn't go through correctly.

Just a suggestion:

This past August we stayed at the GF with the "magical" deal and I purchased enough Disney GC's to cover all of the meals for our 9 day stay. Rather than walking around with GC's and worrying about balances after paying for meals. I locked our GC's in the room safe and charged all of our meals using our bands. Every couple of days, I'd go down to the front desk and pay down my balance with the GC's...it was very easy.

Just make sure you pay your balance the night before you check out. They charge credit cards the night before check out.

And yes, you need to make sure you settle your bill the day before you checkout or the credit card on file will get charged.

That's exactly what I did. Just locked up the cards and settled up with the gift cards later at the resort. I've always underestimated the number of gift cards I needed, so there was always something charged to the card at the end of the trip. But it was nice having most everything pre-paid in a sense. Our local BJ's (like Sam's club), sells the $100 cards for $96. With the 1% cash back I get, it's a decent discount, considering how much we spend on food at Disney.

Since Target stopped the 5% savings plus the extra 5% with the pharmacy card, I started going to BJ's as well. AND I use my southwest credit card to buy them and rack up the freq. flyers miles as well :).

so have any of you used this agency before? Just wanting to verify :confused3

I used them this past August and already booked next August with them as well.
 
Wow. This is amazing. Thank you all. I've always been worried about using a TA, cuz I like to micromanage things... but, thus far the person I've been talking to is so responsive. Really - I pulled the trigger and booked a year in advance because of this. The tickets and rooms showed right up when I keyed the number into MDE. I'm excited!!
