We spent the weekend in Epcot with family visiting from home (NJ!) which was lovely but after a very rough Monday, DF asked me if I wanted to do anything fun today, so of course I said...."go to Magic Kingdom!"
We only had at the very most five hours to spend in the park, as I needed to be home by evening to nap before work (night shift in a hospital). True to plan, we arrived at MK at 11:30 and left by 4:20. But what an amazing day to pick for a quick trip!
UG listed MK today as a 4, but it felt more like a 2. Everything with the exception of Peter Pan (surprise!) was total walk-on. The longest wait we experienced was 10 minutes with SM. In the five hours we were there, we hit BTMR twice, Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Buzz Lightyear, Teacups, Snow White, Peter Pan, PotC, TTA, and Hall of Presidents. We also watched the parade twice, had snacks at Sleepy Hollow, lunch at Pecos Bill, and did some nice leisurely halloween-goodie shopping on Main Street!
The atmosphere was very pleasant today; CMs were for the most part very outgoing and helpful. We got to catch the Fantasyland jazz quartet outside the Snow White queue and they were a delight! Characters also seemed to be plentiful. We saw Woody and Jesse from Toy Story, the Red Queen and White Rabbit from Alice, frontier Goofy, Pooh & Tigger, Donald & Daisy, Fairy Godmother, and Brer Bear.
I thought the Epcot crowds this weekend were pretty low, but nothing compared to MK today! I'd say anyone about to arrive for a Disney trip is in for a good time with very pleasant crowd levels!
