Zachary won the school-wide spelling bee today. Just gotta share my proud mommy moment.

CONGRATS on wining Zachary. I know you've got to be proud of him Cindy.

We though about ordering one of theri trees but i hate spending money on soemthing that is going to die. We will take our two little ones from QVC. I probable will be the decoration package though as thta is something we cna take with us and use later.

Hope everyone is ahvign a great weekend. It is snowing here again. I'm soo ready for warm weather and sunshine.

I checked out the Holiday offerings last night and decided we'll do the decorations... we've never done anything like that before so this will be a nice treat.

We went by Circuit City today (ours is closing) and I picked up a couple of video games for the kids - this was just after I told Gary last night at Costco that I wasn't going to buy anything else for the kids since we have the trip. Ay yi yi. But I did get a couple of DS video games so they will be good to have on the trip for them to open on Christmas - small, and they can actually play with them if they want to.

I was watching the Magic leave port today and thinking that in FIVE weeks that will be us!!! FIve weeks...geez that seems really close.

I did figure out what to get for my FE gifts so I have one item decided. I just need to get the supplies to make them. I am having Thanksgiving at my house so maybe I'll have my relatives making these FE gifts!! I need to get the list from Cindy so I know how many to make. I also need to fix my FE as it got a bit worn during our Feb cruise. I threw away (actually donated it) my sewing machine since it was giving me so much trouble and used the iron tape to connect the FE pieces. Some of the tape came undone so I'll have to re-iron it.

I also have Mickey hands that I bought last fall to take on the cruise to wave goodbye to the terminal CMs. I forgot them in Feb and need to make sure I bring them this time. I need to start a packing list. Once the relatives leave after Thanksgiving, I can set up the guest room upstairs for staging the items for packing. I"m starting to finally get excited since it is getting close....

I think we are definately going with the decorations package!! That looks so neat and I think it'll make it that much better for the kids!!

Gosh - what a nice temperature day here in So. Maryland - high of 75!!! We even had thunder and lightening last night during the night!!! We did get a downpour - came on suddenly - in the late afternoon (suddenly - while DH was washing my expedition!!! needless to say he didn't finish!!). I absolutely can't wait for our DISNEY CRUISE in 5 weeks - 5 weeks from tonight we'll be having our first dinner onboard!

BTW - DH and I are intrigued by the buy 4 get 3 free WDW packages Disney is offering next year.....anybody else intrigued??

Thanks for the Infomration regarding the Change in dining times.
Hopefully if it does not go tru before the cruise we have some light of hope to change as soon as we get in the ship!

Just seen a post in the dcl forum about this from USA today. In early dec they are debuting the new 3-d movies on the Magoc. The talk is that we will get to see Bolt in 3-d How exciting is this!!!!

ugh about 3-D movies - they give me a headache - and never work well for me because of the glasses and my own bifocals. I wonder if they'll be where they tell you when to put the glasses on for the 3-D effect, and I wonder if they'll show some of their movies in 2-D any more. If they switch to all 3-D, I won't be going to the movies any more.

The boys are asking to go see Bolt. I want to hold them off to see it on the ship, but if it's only going to be 3-D on the ship, then they won't want to see it onboard. Guess we'll find out from trip-reports from folks coming back soon.

We had rain here all day on Friday and big storms overnight. And now it's turned off a bit chilly.

Five weeks from now we'll be onboard. Yay! I won't think about 6 weeks from now.

I'm with you Cindy on 3-D movies glasses, espeially my bifocals make them frustrating!

Susan - do you have your pics hosted at photobucket? That's where I do all mine for DIS. Then I just paste in the IMG tag (photobucket offers that as one of four options for picture sharing) into my DIS message without using any of the icons that "help" you.

We're putting the Christmas tree up today - well, not doing all the decorating but assembling it so we can decorate this week. I have a crockpot of beans on to have for supper and then the rest will go into chili later in the week.

What changes in dining times? I must have missed that somewhere. Today I finished putting all but one set of our FE bags together. Our one set for christmas day has candy in it that we have not made yet and do not want to make until we get closer. If Anybody doing the FE exchange has a food allergy please let me know so I don't give you something your allergic to. Now I've got to figure out how to pack everything and get it down there safely. I really wish we were driving. Hope everyone has had a great weekend.

Just to clarify.
I mentioned Changes in Dining times I was referring We personally requested to be changed to first dining instead of Second.
Nothing is going on with the dining times for everybody else!
Well now that that is cleared up!

We also ordered the Chistmas tree centerpiece for the room tru DCL.
It is one less thing we need to worry about bringing.
We have some of our FE gifts ready.
DId we cancel the Secret Santa???
HAve not heard about it for a while?
We are getting close now!

tinksmom (tenya) is coordinating the secret santa. i know she already contacted us as i signed the boys up to participate.

We got our tree up but not decorated. But the hard part is getting it up (although it was easy since it's prelit).

This week I need to order our DCL decorations for the cabin, finish off our Fish Extender and gifts, and think about thanksgiving. And think about / make door magnets.

Hi everyone!!

I haven't checked in for awhile. I have worked the last 5 nights and one more to go. I have been exhausted when I get home in the morning, so straight to bed I go.

Can you believe how close it is getting? We are so excited!! I hope to get back to packing the rest of our suitcases on my days off, and maybe even put up the Christmas tree. I want a good 4 weeks to enjoy that tree!!!

DH is going to make our magnetic door signs and family "business cards" on Wednesday!! DD15 and I decorated our Christmas wreaths that will be hanging outside our stateroom doors. We found small strands of battery operated Christmas lights to place on them!! We are going to decorate the tree we bought when we actually get there.

Is anyone going to purchase gift baskets from Shirley? We did this last cruise and the kids LOVED them. I want to again, but I want them to be holiday oriented. I don't know if she can do that or not? I guess I will call her on my days off and she what she has to offer.
