MAGICal Christmas 2008 - December 20, 2008

All done, and got just what I wanted!!! But, Diana's having problems!!!

I got the boys registered for the kids club, but other than that, there isn't anything for me to do since we decided to do the Dolphin Encounter with you guys instead of via DCL. I'll do the rest of our online registration after we get home and I have passport numbers, etc. to fill in.

Amy, we're pretty exhausted here, too -- we started at DHS and then went back later in the day, too. Toy Story Mania is so much fun - we did it twice via stand-by this morning and then returned for our FP later in the day (it was for 11:25 but we had lunch ressies at Liberty Tree Tavern at noon).

We got everything we wanted (we ended up doing more than we had originally planned for this cruise, but couldn't help ourselves now that DD4 is old enough to participate).

We don't do PALO or the SPA, so it was just shore excursions for us. We are doing the parasailing on CC day #1 (it wasn't offered on our last cruise because of vendor problems and we were very disappointed), Morgan is going to do the Wild Side with Tenya's DD on CC day #2, DS and and DH are doing the kayaking on CC day #2 and snorkeling on CC day #1, and of course the Dolphin excursion with the group . I get exhausted just thinking about all this!

We tried to put in our passport info, and it still would not let us. We will try again later on today.

Diana-I hope you get your "technical difficulties" worked out and get everything you want!

Amy and Cindy-I am so glad to hear you had a great time!! I wish I lived that close to WDW. I am so close to Mexico (just 10 minutes) Disney needs to build a Disney de Mexico!!

I am definately in for the t-shirt and will love what anyone designs! We had already ordered and received our Disney logo and pirate t-shirts. Will we wear these on embarkation day? How exciting!!!

Now to figure out what to do for the rest of the night. I still have my adrenaline rushing from the booking excitement!!

I was able to get most everything on 5 of our 6 rooms, even if only 1/2 of us are castaway club members.

had to split up the palos into 7 and 7:30 but since we have 5 rooms and 8 adults it will be interesting to get us all together.

Looks like everyone had a great night with your bookings. Diana did you ever get yours to work? Now we have 15 days and counting until I can stay up late and see if I can get some excursions booked.

We would be interested in shirts if the items are put online to order.

Give it a try just in case. I was able to book for 3 rooms that are not castaway club last night and add somethings this morning. Only one room was blocked until 8/6??? I think that is the date

Yeah we were able to get everything we want including Brunch at Palos on Christmas day. The only excursion I booked was for Matthew since i'm doing the encounter with the group. We didn't book anything at G.C. I'm hoping we don't regret that but i'm trying not to spedn a fortune on excursions this time. Diana i hope you got everythign worked out. We had a few problems i had to log out and log back in several times to get it to work.

Here is the t-shirt design I came up with. If everybody likes it feel free to use it. Are we planning to wear these on the first day. It would be great fi we could get a group picture in them.

It sounds like everyone got what they wanted -- GREAT! I was lucky to get ours, too. We're doing the Jeep excursion on Cozumel, the 7-mile Beach Break in Grand Cayman, the stringray thing on CC #1, 2 day float rental, Wild Side for Carly with Morgan, and a couples massage for Joe and I on CC #2. We're having dinner at Palo on Sunday.

I wanted to book the pedicure for all three of us on Christmas (it's kind of a tradition when we're at WDW on Christmas), but couldn't because Carly is only 15.

They're open today. I was on the line at 9am on the dot. They were able to fix a glitch with my Profile. Apparently even though this will be our 7th cruise, and having my CC# in there I still couldn't book. The guy I spoke to did something and magically I was able to get in. UGH!! I did get the spa appointment I needed and the excursion too. I'm working on getting added to Amy's Palo brunch reservation since of course, Palo brunch was booked solid by 9am.

But all in all, I'm happy and VERY VERY excited for this cruise! Full speed ahead!!

I love it. The Mickey ears may violate the copyright restrictions though. Although the full ears aren't actually there. I'm not entirely sure.


I'm also thinking about making a Dolphin shirt for the day of the Dolphin Encounter for those of us going. Nothing fancy though.

From what I was reading the ears are ok it's the actual characters thta are not allowed. I'd love a shirt for the dolphin encounter. I also can't wait to see ya'lls designs. I love seeing what other people come up with. We make custom shirts for all of our trips much to Matt's dismay. Right now i'm working on one for mom's birthday and one for new Year's eve. I now have all the paper work filled out. I love that we can do it online and save a little time.

It's been a while since I posted anything here, but I have been lurking, following along and we are still on for Christmas!

One thing and another - we forgot that we aren't in the Eastern time zone. So at 11:10, DH says "Oh, it says we can register now." Only 10 minutes late..... Well, we got the excursions we wanted: XCARET Archelogical Park at Cozumel, though it is verrrry early. The Nautilus boat in Grand Cayman (though we really want to send a postcard from H.E. Double Hockey Sticks) and the manta ray experience at CC. Also, Palo brunch on Christmas Day, though I'd have prefered the 22nd, I am not complaining!

So I haven't been paying the closest attention, I must admit - for those that have been on the Magic for Christmas in the past, do they have a special Holiday dinner or is it just the regular rotation dinner (Captain's Gala??) for Christmas?

The T-shirt designs are fun!
