You're driving yourself crazy over this Simply put, of course its better- its $10 /point instead of $5. Better than that were the presale incentive that were $70/point instead of $75 but you kept your first years points. Even better if you bought 10 years ago at $50 something /point. All that matters is what they have now- the price will only go up-
why do u feel the price will only go up?
tHE DVC is getting closer every year 2 its termination date.
at some point, will u saturate the DVC MARKET?
will DVC every have a resort with as attractive a location as BCV?
Well, thats a good question, most agree that for the next few years (at least until SSRS is done) that DVC will keep its current structure. After that its anyone guess- DVC II with a different end date, who knows? All i can tell you is when we first looked at the end of 2000 the price was $67/point. Bought BCV at $70/point in Feb 02 now its $84/point and we're one year closer to 2042
BCV Presale:
$75/point Feb 02- June 02
Resort opened in July 02
$5 off /point, keep first years points OR 5 + nights depending on amount of contract at disney deluxe hotel.
Price went up to $80 in June, MB was $5 sell back of first year points. Price increase $84 Dec 1
The basic standard MBover the past few years has been $10 pp. They lowered it at BCV to slow sales and have raised it at HH and VB to try to complete sales there. This program has been in place for I think 4.5 years but it could change or go away tomorrow.
Kansas- I wish my DH was as impressed as you- he thought i was crazy but he did indulge me. We bought 200 BWV point resale in Feb 2001 and 200 points at BCV presale.
can u not resale your DVC point, 4 more than u paid 4 them, even on a EBAY AUCTION and your only cost 2 enjoy the greatest location in the world has been $3.77 in annual dues
if u had invested the $, u would have lost 1/2 in US STOCK MARKET
IF u had saved the $, u would have earned the lowest interest rated in US HISTORY
D (dear, darling dumb- you pick!)
H (husband) or DD (daughter) DS (son), etc.
Actually thats how I talked him into it- with the strength of the resale market, we can recoup much of our expense if we need to.
