Magic Your Way WITHOUT Park Tickets?

Is it possible to select the Magic Your Way package on the Disney site, un-select the park tickets (so I can buy them on Undercover Tourist), but still get the benefits of the Magic Your Way package? ie, the dining plan, arcade card, planet hollywood gift certificate.

The site allows me to deselect the tickets and my plan still says Magic Your Way, but I just want to make sure.

I am pretty sure you can't do that. I believe the only people who can do the dining plan without buying park tickets are people who have APs, and DVC members staying on points. I do know that you can purchase a one day ticket, but still have the meal plan for your entire trip.

Go to the WDW Website and put in a purchase for a seven day ticket and see what it closts (make sure you go all the way through to add the sales tax). Then enter a six day ticket and see if you will come out ahead from Undercover Tourist. I'm betting the seven day ticket will be cheaper directly from Disney than a one day ticket from Disney and a six day ticket from UT.

If you do the six plus one, you are paying for day one twice (and that's the most expensive part of any ticket).

Any package purchase includes the ticket. No ticket, no package.

I'm not sure about the magic your way package perks, but I do know that you can purchase a dining plan without purchasing park tickets from Disney. You only have to buy tickets (a 2 day ticket I believe) to get the free dining special offer.

This is not correct. To get a Magic Your Way package with dining you must purchase tickets and room from Disney. If you have an annual pass then you can purchase the dining plan without purchasing tickets otherwise you must purchase tickets through Disney to get the dining plan.

You can purchase a magic your way package without dining but to get the dining you have to purchase tickets (at least a one day tickets) through Disney.

Free dining requires a multi-day ticket.

Whoops. Thanks for clarifying. I thought the dining plan could be added to anyone staying on property, but you are right it has to be part of a package. Sorry.

The dining plan can be purchased by DVC members staying on a DVC reservation or AP holders without an extra ticket purchase. But if you are not in either of those groups, you have to purchase a package to get the dining plan - room, tickets and dining.

Unless someone is an Annual Pass holder that plan won't work. Is the savings of purchasing tickets through Undercover Tourist really that much?

We've done the dining plan about every way you can; Standard Magic Your Way package, DVC with Dining Added, and now Annual Pass holder with Dining.

One other exception: people staying in Disney resorts on the Military Discount can have Dining added to their package without having to buy tickets (making it a "package") because Disney expects them to use the Armed Forces Salute tix.
