Hi,
We are planning to go to Disney, Florida next year from UK (first time). Can anyone help me with these queries on the Magic Your way tickets (I am planning to just buy a base ticket for 7 or 8 days)

1. Whereas the UK Ultimate tickets are priced more for 2009 than 2008 the MYW tickets do not appear to have a year on them. Can they be bought now at today's prices for use next year?

2. I have seen Mapleleaf recommended for these tickets but the official Disney site appears to be cheaper - am I missing something?

3. My eldest child is 9 years old. What if I buy a MYW ticket now but what if she turns 10 before I have used some or all of the days on her ticket?

Thanks very much,
Matthew

1. Yes, you can buy at today's price to use next year - MYW tickets have no expiry date until they are activated at the time they are first used. (Unless you choose to pay extra for non-expiring tickets. They, obviously, don't expire even once you've started using them!). The only time there might be a query over this is if something major changes, such as when Animal Kingdom opened and any old tickets purchased when AK did not exist were not valid for entry to AK.

2. I don't know if you're missing something - could it be to do with the exchange rate, maybe? But I always go for the best deal from any retailer that has a good reputation from others here on the DIS who have used them. If you do a search you'll find quite a few threads here that mention different ticket agencies.

3. Sorry, I'm not sure. I think that, officially, she should upgrade her ticket (or any remaining days) to the adult version (can be done at any Guest Services in WDW). Unofficially, I think Disney tend to turn a blind eye unless there's a very obvious age query.

We always use Maple Leaf for Disney tickets and they are generally cheaper.

Can you post the Disney link? every time I try and find the MYW tickets on a Disney site it takes me to the UK version where just the Ultimate tickets are shown.

Matthew in answer to No.3,it is the age when the ticket is first used,so if she is 9 on your first day then a child ticket is fine.If you have non-expiry any un-used days can be up-graded to an adult pass free of charge on your next visit. The flip side obviously is that if you buy a child pass now & she is 10 when you go then you would have tp pay for the up-grade.
HTH SD:thumbsup2
