If our flight arrives at 10:00pm, can we wait till the morning for the Disney shuttle to pick us up, or does it have to be within a short time of when we land? We were thinkng of just crashing at the airport...

Thanks!

Sure you can wait 'til morning. I take it your resort stay starts that next day in which case you reserve Magical Express for early that next day.

For those who arrive earlier in the day, you don't have to hustle to the ME welcoming area, you could have lunch in the airport if you desire.

There is no guarantee your room will be ready until late afternoon. I wouldn't literally crash in the airport but would consider booking a hotel in the airport zone. You can generally get room through Priceline for around $50. Alternately book a room at a value resort your first night.

Does your resort reservation start the day you actually arrive? If so, I would just head to your resort. By the time you get your luggage from baggage claim, get to a hotel for that night, even at MCO, it's going to be close to 11:00. If you take the DME bus to your resort the night you arrive, you'll most likely be there by 11:30 at the latest. You can have your luggage delivered to your room the next morning.

If your resort reservation doesn't start until the next day, then sure, take DME that morning. But, you can't tag your checked bags. You will have to go get them at baggage claim and then take them to the DME bus in the morning. When you make the DME reservations they will ask for flight info for your arrival..just give them an arrival time of about the time you want to ride the bus.

Are you planning on sleeping IN the airport? if so, there is a lengthy thread on that here.

But as Lewisc says, MCO is one of the easiest places to find a decent airport hotel on Priceline or other sources for just a few dollars.

I often arrive at MCO at midnight or later and just go to my resort onsite.

For the love of God...don't go there...please, I beg of you!!

I would be delighted to look up the link for the OP in my helpful manner, but I am running out the door to the airport in a moment. Perhaps Lewisc can help out instead during my absence :goodvibes

I would still recommend the Priceline route, either at MCO or offsite near the parks

No problem, I was going to "bump" the thread but I'll provide the link instead

There are plenty of places to crash at WDW. Use the yellow DME tags. Your resort will get your bags the same day you check in. I'm sure the resort will just hold the bags until you check in.

Now take a DME bus to your resort. Immediately take a Disney bus to the MK. From there take a boat or monorail to the GF or POLY.

A hammock on the beach (POLY) is one place to sleep. You might also try a lounge chair by the quiet pool at the GF.

Alternately just crash at a lounge chair by the quiet pool at whatever resort you're staying at.

You are not eligible for Magical Express that evening if those are the only places for you to sleep.

If your Disney Resort reservation is for the day of your flight arrival, then it doesn't make sense to not go to the resort and check-in.

However, if your Disney Resort reservation is for the next day, then you would not be eligible for DME until that day.
