Anyone planning on posting a Magic trip report that has sailed since her return to Port Canaveral?

Any news, trips reports, navigators, menus will be appreciated :thumbsup2

Another bump as we're getting ready for our Magic sailing on 10/22!

Anyone ? Magic anything? Inside stateroom 5th or 7th floor. How is the condition of the ship?:confused3

Yes, I have read that one. But looking for report and personal experiences. Lots of bad reviews or comments about the Magic recently, and I want to hear if things have improved since her return to PC.

I was on the WBTA this year. The Ship was in good shape. (for a 13 year old)

Peter as a CD SUCKED. Disney needs to replace him... (my 2cent)

I was on the Magic Oct 1 - 8.

We had an awesome time!!

We had a navigator's verandah on deck 5. Loved it!

Overall condition of the stateroom and ship in general was great.

We went to the show every evening. Twice Charmed and John Charles were our favorites. We didn't really like Villians Tonight.

In ports, we did our own thing in Key West. In Grand Cayman, we did a 2 hour general tour. It was ok.. we liked the turtle farm but didn't really feel like there was much to look at in general. In Cozumel, we did a 4 hour tour. Again, it was ok.. nothing special but fine.

The only real negative of the whole trip was a family that was on our Grand Cayman tour. We were on a small bus, maybe 15 people. A family with 3 children sat in the back. The adults talked and the kids sang songs and fooled around the whole time the driver was giving the tour. A woman ahead of me turned around to look at them several times but they didn't stop. The bus was very small so it was quite disturbing the whole time.

What else would you like to know?

Do you think the navigator room 7A is worth it? 600 hundred dollars different!I can pay for all my air and still have 200 dollars leftover for Key West. I just do not know if it matters. Or if I will be so busy that the room will only be for sleep.

I guess it really depends on how you spend your time. For me, my husband is a late sleeper but I'm not. So I would go up to the gym, go to breakfast and then spend time reading out on the verandah while he was getting ready.

I spent some time out there reading in the late afternoons too when we would have returned from port and had an hour or so before the evening events.

We enjoyed it.. but I think it is an individual preference.

Thanks for your response :cool1:

What dining rotation did you have? Servers? Would you recommend them?

How was the food in main dining rooms?

This will be our first cruise with new boarding process. What was your experience with boarding?

We were the late seating for dinner. Our servers were ok but we weren't overly impressed. They were both very nice and well meaning but didn't think they were top notch. I got the wrong dessert a few nights...of course they fixed it right away and had me keep the other dessert.
It also became a running joke with my husband and I whether I would get coffee at the end of the meal. I had it the first night... then other nights I was offered, got the cup and everything but then no coffee. Other nights it wasn't even offered.
Also on the second to last night, they came out with my entree and the main server said to me that he knew i didn't like peppers so he had them not put them on the plate so if I didn't have enough food he would get me more. No idea where that came from as my husband and I don't have any preferences and never asked for any substitions the whole time.

Again, none of that was a big deal and they were always pleasant and welcoming... just not the best experience.

We were very happy with the food in the main dining room. Nothing we really didn't like so much that we wouldn't eat it. Some things we enjoyed more than others... beef tenderloin on the last night was excellent. We did eat at Palo and enjoyed that alot too.

As far as boarding, we used DCL transfers from Pop Century. We only got to the port around 1:45. It was pretty empty by then. We were checked in and on board right away.

Thanks. I am glad to know the ship is good. I was reading all kinds of problems with the Magic and now I can relax and get going on the rest of my plans.:yay::yay::yay: Do you think it would of been as nice if you were in an inside room?
