Does anyone know what the deal was with debarkation? We have never experienced anything like that on our previous DCL cruises. It took us over an hour to get off the boat. I am really hoping it was a strange coincidence that it happened on the EB repo and ours because this is where Disney excels. I don't want to see this become the norm.

Hi Susan--Hazel and I were in line at 7:30, the doors opened at 7:45 and we were off the ship a few minutes later. We were on the DCL bus headed to the airport by 8:20, would have been sooner, but I think someone took our big piece of luggage and had to put it back. I noticed the handle was up and the luggage was not in the spot where I found it when I had first looked for it.

Hi Andy! Glad you guys got home safe and sound. We had a difficult time getting into Lumeires for bfast at 8:15 because the line to leave the ship stretched all the way to PC. We sat and enjoyed a leisurely bfast and the line really wasn't moving. So, we headed up for a last walk around deck 9 to find a dumpster had been hoisted onto the ship via crane. When we came back, the line was still to the internet cafe. We didn't make it off until after 10am. It took forever to get off. On past cruises, we ate bfast and left without much line at all. I have been reading the EB repo thread and they had the same issue but they also took 2-3 hours for the ship to be cleared. We wondered if there was some specific threat or was it the contractors and equipment that delayed things or what. Just don't want to see this become the norm. People all around us were commenting on how different this was for Disney.

The ship was completely full, not a cabin to be had according to Captain Mickey.

Oh Andy how I wish this was true. Because as you know that my EB room that I moved out of to go into my room across the hall was empty on the 5 dayer. If I had thought about it I would have asked if I could have stayed in there. Of course I wasn't even on the list to stay onboard and had to fix that. Just a word of advise to every one, if you are booking with 2 different travel companies, as I did dreams to DVC make sure you link your ressies. I didn't have any problems but thought maybe I would have been given that upgrade if I had. Oh well live and learn.

Hazel and I were both feeling quite ill yesterday, we are getting our land legs back and feeling better!!!
