Magic Secret Places at WDW

My favorite "quiet place" secret space is always the deck of our OKW villa! I love to sit out there as the sun is rising, drinking my tea or coffee and watching the wildlife.

I also love the rose walkway from future world to world showcase. This can be quite crowded after Illuminations, but usually it is a nice walk among beautiful flowers.

The path from the back of OKW to DTD is also a favorite.

The 'Goodnite kiss' is the fireworks at MK & the Dole Whip stand is in MK, in AdventureLand...they sell ice cream & Dole pineapple juice...MMM...so good!!! To the right of the stand is a secluded area with tables & chairs that you can sit & enjoy your whip!!!

Dole Whips ... Oh I am on a mental vacation at just the thought. It is a must do regardless when I travel to Disney.

buggin’, nope, MK fireworks are Fantasy in the Sky. The Kiss Goodnight is when the castle sparkles and changes colors at park closing time.

From Mouseplanet, “Kiss Goodnight is a very special unheralded treasure and one of my favorites. To experience this treasure you must be in the Magic Kingdom at closing. Kiss Goodnight begins with the castle sparkling and changing colors. While this is happening, the park explodes with a thousand voices singing, "When You Wish Upon a Star." As you walk down Main St. heading towards the castle, there is a side street on the right (3/4 down). It is a very short dead end. If you go all the way to the end and look up to the left you will see a dance school. If you just wait and listen you can hear tap dancing.

One of our favorites that hasn't been mentioned is in Liberty Square in the Magic Kingdom. If you're facing the outside of the Hall of Presidents and you go to the right along that building, you'll come to a porch with two white rocking chairs on it.

That is a perfect spot. Last time we were at MK I was pregnant, needed a break and wanted to wait for the 3:00 parade. That was a perfect spot for DD and I to share an ice cream and wait for DH to come out of the Hall of Presidents.

I can't wait to go back!

I always love this kinda thread.....

My quiet secret place -

1. Boat from Contemporary to FW, for hoop de doo. Like other says, it's one of the most romantic, underrated, free thing to do in WDW.

2. AKL - 3am in the morning, watching the animals roaming.

3. Any quiet pool in the late afternoon. Most people are at the park, and I get the pool all to myself.

4. Belle Vue Lounge in BWV late night.

I know it is well known and viewed by many, Neither I nor DH nor our kids will ever forget the first time we saw Tink fly--right over our heads. We were on the bridge btwn. tomorrowland and the castle-the one closer to the castle and we were amazed to see Tink fly right over our heads.

We believe in Magic-We belong!!

Acting like a kid again and going through the tunnels (mine shafts)on Tom Sawyer Island and the tunnels under the fort. Hearing other adults squealing with laughter at the thought of getting stuck in one of the tunnels.
Being the last people out of the Magic Kingdom and walking backwards down Main Street.

For my Dh and I it was the early morning walk out to The lobby of ASMO as the sun was rising. I got to see my pups brighten in the sunlight.
