Magic - please explain the importance of the 7th deck "secret" site

It is aft, all the way at the very end of deck 8. If I remember, there wasn't much space for lounge chairs and it's partially covered by Topsiders/Beach Blanket on deck 9 so not very good for sunbathing , but still a nice private place to visit.

I found it very HOT during the day just hanging out on deck 7. We didn't have a verandah, so it was a nice spot to go play cards or something.

You beat me to it!! If I am not mistaken, that is the pic I took on one of our Eastern DCL cruises that is on my Webshots album....don't mind at all that you posted it....it actually came out well and I also use if often when the Secret Deck question comes up!!

I totally forgot I did not take this picture. I have had this picture on backdrop on my desktop for years. I must have found it one time when you posted it and I must have copied it. You have given me more pleasure than you will ever know!! I love looking at this picture everyday!!

I took my laptop on the Magic in JAN and had trouble with the wireless service. I ended up at guest services and everyone was commenting on how awesome the picture was!!

I think we are on the same cruise NOV 4th. I am travelling with about 50 friends. I look forward to meeting you!!

Lisa that is great....I did not realize we are both on Nov. 4th!!! I did post a few times to the cruise meets thread but between our dog having 4 surgeries from thanksgiving to mid-January and my DD having surgery this week...it has been tough to keep on top of things....I will have to get back over and visit the Nov 4 thread.....we are traveling right now with a group of 10, but I am trying to get more people to come!!! The more the merrier!!!! Keep in touch!!!

We visited the "secret deck" one day during our cruise last April. Leaning over the low wall between the deck and the first stateroom's veranda, we saw something odd on the veranda. It was a wading pool with straw in it (no water) and a real live duck. Someone was travelling with a duck. I'm guessing there was an entertainer on board who used it for the show. Does anyone know?

LOL...see! That was our room one cruise and I think every person that came onto secret deck 7 was looking around that wall right onto our verandah..there was NO privacy sitting out there, it was like being in a sideshow LOL!!
