Magic of Steam Trains Tour update

I called WDW this am to talk to them about the expanded tour and the answer I got was that due to guest's requests, the tour has been expanded and is now 3 hours. From what the CM was able to describe to me, it sounds like the tour spends more time in the roundhouse (which isn't really round at all), but I didn't get anything more than that. I asked if it maybe touched on the monorail section above the steam trains, but he wasn't sure and wouldn't say.

The price is $40 and you can also apply your AP, DVC, or DC discounts to the price. Meeting time is at 7:15am at the MK Guest services window to the right of the entrance of MK.

Anyone going to do this soon to see what the changes are???

I was going to book this for my ds, dh and dad for April trip...however, now that I see the time is 7:15 a.m.....I don't think my dad can do it, lol...

Well, the actual tour starts at 7:30, you just have to meet at 7:15. It's to give everyone time to get there.... It's something worth getting up early to do, IMHO.

Thanks for the heads up, Jeff. When I run out of tours (almost there, LOL), I may look at doing this one again. I liked it when I did it.
