One more FE post.....

Just posting a final count for kids in the group.

Boys 12-14: 3

Girls 12-14: 4

Boys 10-11: 6

Girls 10-11: 1

Boys 7-9: 3

Girls 7-9: 4

Boys 4-6: 6

Girls 4-6: 6

Boys 1-3: 2 (one of the little guys is having his second birthday on board!)

Girls 2-3: 2

Now I just need to get thinking what gifts to get for these gifts!!!

At the risk of driving the conversation off the rails here I have to say I just can't read a book that needs to recharge. I have to have actual pages. Books have soul.

I so agree!!! I don't have an e-reader and have no plans to get one. I need a book I can hold in my hands and turn pages. My favorite saying is a room without books is like a house without windows.

I have a question for the parents. I know that most adults now use e-readers rather than actual books, but do kids still use hold in your hand real books? Inquiring minds.

My kids usually read books, but sometimes read on my kindle too! Books are a great idea!

A question about the FE ... are all of the adults in the rooms couples? (if I decide to do a couple gift) or perhaps a better question - is there anyone in the FE that is not an adult couple - but two adults traveling together ....

Just called DCL to find out what movies were playing on the Magic when we sail. This is what is listed as "tentatively" playing: Lone Ranger, Planes, Iron Man 3, Brave, Avengers, Monsters Univ, Nemo, Tangled, Wreck it Ralph. Some were in 3D and I think there were a couple more that she listed, but I couldn't write that fast! I was hoping for the new movie Frozen, since that comes out around Thanksgiving. She did say that it is possible for other movies to be playing that they haven't listed as of yet. So, keeping my fingers crossed. But I haven't seen Monsters University yet, so I will be excited to see that!

I got a request this morning from another requesting to join the FE group. I declined, stating the deadline was posted many times, people have less than a month now and most have already started gathering gifts. I hope I did the right thing, I do hate saying no to anyone about almost anything. But, my thought is that if this exception is made and someone asks next week then what? We leave in 2 weeks for WDW prior to the cruise...... Feeling bad. This person has not yet posted on our thread and just booked the cruise, evidently.

Okay, the name of the parking lot is safecruiseparkingdotcom. I went to the website yesterday and they have an update at the top of their site that says that due to construction in their area, the City of Miami has asked them to temporarily relocate to a different lot. I posted on their FB page and asked them if the new lot was still gated and covered. They said it is not covered, but it is gated and they still have 24/7 security. The lot is only a couple of blocks away from where it was before. However, the fact that their permanent lot was covered and partially underground was a big plus for me. I haven't decided if we are going to park there or not. I'm not sure if their "gate" is a chain link fence or what. It just makes me a little nervous, having the wording "temporary lot". I might do some research and find another lot. I'll let you know if I find anything.

I think we're going to use that lot. I've read good and bad reviews,but more good than bad.

I feel bad BUT we made a deadline - I vote stick to it. We have a lot of cabins already anyway Perhaps you could suggest that they post looking to form FE#2 for any last minute people who want to get in on it. We did that with my last cruise
