We live in No Cal and have annual passes to 6 flags. One of the perks is free admission to all 6 flags in the country. We also have annual passes to DL. We are planning a week long trip to SO Cal the beginning of Jan. Where is Magic Mountain in relation to DLR? Is it feasable to do a day there? My oldest is in college and is a coaster fiend. He doesn't mind DL but would love to do the coasters as well. Thoughts?

Magic Mountain is about 60 miles north-west of Disneyland, a straight shot on I-5. To get there it would take 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic of course.

If you are going the first part of January be sure to check Magic Mountain's days/hours. After New Year's weekend the park is closed Monday through Friday and only open on weekends.

I think a day at MM is definitely do-able in your situation (presuming you will have a car) and might make the college kid very happy. Maybe make it your first or last day on the way down or back and stay near MM?
