How busy are the crowds at Magic Mountain in the middle of August? Are kids back to school in California?

Expect peak crowds in Mid-August. Typically, school has not yet started.

Very,very busy. We quit going in August because it just seems like you wait in line forever.

I see the park hours are reduced starting on August 24...the last week of Au
gust. Does that mean the park expects crowds to be light?
