Headed back to DLR March 19-23 for an early graduation trip for our daughter. We are a party of 13 ranging in age from 5-78 yrs old. Everyone has been to DLR at least once, some of us as many as 10 times. We were last there in June of 2012 a week after Carsland opened.

On Thursday March 19 DL opens at 8 am so that puts Magic morning at 7 am. Main Street will open at 6:30, is that correct? Will ticket booths and will call booths open at 6:30 am? Some of our party has vouchers from Orbitz that will need to be exchanged at a ticket booth... And it can be done at any ticket booth, correct?

Also, I'm reading through a lot of Frozen info... Can we hold an Ana and Elsa greet FP and a RSR FP at the same time?

Any suggestions for breakfast in DCA? That will be our second morning. Not looking for a sit down breakfast but counter or buffeteria. Thanks!

Main St only opens 30 minutes early on non-EE days. Do the vouchers say to go to the ticket booth or do they say you can take them to the turnstile? They may just be able to exchange them when they enter without stopping at the booth.

Thank you , so for EE everything will open at 7, got it

I haven't seen the vouchers yet. My niece has them. I haven't purchased mine yet. She says Orbitz has 3 day fur the price of 4 deal. That's great, but I don't want to miss EE time waiting At a ticket booth. That's why I wondered if booths would open earlier than 7 on this EE day?

We had vouchers in december and we exchanged them at the turnstile. It did delay things quite a bit and the people behind us were not happy. Never again! I like tickets in my hand.

Orbitz vouchers must be exchanged at the ticket booths or they can do it at the hotels if staying onsite. Will you have time to do it the night before? I'm not sure what time the booths open in the AM.

I don't think the night before will work out. Our plane doesn't get into LAX until 10 pm so we won't be at the DLR area until 11 or so. We are staying in a vacation rental home in the convention center area. On that Thurs morning we are leaving the house at 6 am and walking. We will be going through DTD.

Do you have to be a hotel guest to exchange vouchers? If I went to the front desk if the DL Hotel would they exchAnge them at 6:30 am I wonder?

I have read that ticket booths open at least 30 minutes before park opening. It would make sense they would want ot sell tickets and get people shopping on Main Street right away! :)

I know you've already mentioned that you won't be getting to the DLR area until very late, but it's worth noting that Disneyland is open until midnight on March 18th. That means at least one ticket booth will be open until midnight (at least one booth or guest services window will be open as long as the parks are open). So you do have that option if you're feeling energetic after arriving in the DLR area.

In terms of MM, as SMD said, they do not open the turnstiles early. They will start letting eligible guests into the park at 7:00 am. Only Tomorrowland and Fantaslyand (and parts of Main Street) will be open for Magic Morning.

With regards to A&E and RSR, the most recent reports indicate that the A&E M&G FP is still disconnected from the rest of DCA. So having an A&E M&G FP should not affect your ability to get an RSR FP. The Frozen Sing-A-Long FP is connected to the system.

I've only done it when I was staying there, so I don't know if they would do it for you. You can always call the hotel directly and ask. They may also be able to tell you when the ticket booths open. It seems to me that it would make sense to have a ticket booth open if they are letting people onto the Esplanade that early. If nothing else I would think that guest relations would be open. Good luck!

So it's true also for DCA that on an EE morning, either you get in early between 7-8 or not until 8? We will not have EE for DCA because we aren't staying on property. Fri March 20 is EE there but we won't be let in until 8, we won't be let in at 7:30? Thx

We have a similar situation coming up very soon, getting in too late the night before to exchange vouchers (and, yes, my understanding is Orbitz vouchers typically need to be exchanged at the ticket window). I was told that the ticket windows should be open at least 30 minutes early. The latter part of my trip is on site, so I think I will shoot an email to the planning office and ask them if the vouchers can be handled there at the hotel. Will post here or PM you the response or my experience.

It's been awhile since I've done DCA that early, but after about 40 minutes they let non-EMH guests go down to the end of BVS during EMH back when you could still line up for RSR FP. I imagine it's similar, but they probably no longer let you go into Hollywoodland since it's not necessary to send the line down that way. It's more like a slow trickle of people coming through the turnstiles that starts before EMH ends.

It's also worth noting that A&E FP's are not running out very quickly so you probably do not need to make them a priority if you are spending all day in DCA. RSR FP also are lasting longer than they used to but I would still grab that one before any other FP in DCA.

I'm rope drop crazy, but I would get to the gates around 6:20 or so. Those that need to exchange tickets could go straight to the ticket booth and get in line (ask a CM which one will open early) and everyone else get in line at the gate. I know last summer, on EE mornings, they were not opening main street early but started letting people through the turnstiles right at 7.

As for breakfast in DCA, we enjoyed Flo's V8 cafe in Carsland.

So, I heard back from Vacation Planning. Voucher exchange at the onsite hotels is, unfortunately, for guests only, even for me who is actually checking in onsite a couple days later. But, they did say that the ticket window should open at 6 am. I hope that is actually true and that it helps with the small piece of the overall puzzle with which I can help, nvfamily.

My plan is much like scrapshappen. :)

Oh thank you so much! I shall cross my fingers for the 6 am ticket booth opening. I've exchanged vouchers msnt times just not our EE day, which is also our first day, and every moment counts right :)
