Magic model for Disney Vacation Club members only

We received an email from the Disney Vacation Club, DVC, just two days prior to our June 4th sailing on the West Coast Special Cruise. It told of a special model of the Magic for sale for $50.00 for DVC members only just for this cruise. We tried to purchase it while on board and no one knew anything about it. I talked to Mary Jo (?) the person in charge of merch and she knew about it and said it has not come in yet. She advised me to call the phone order line for WDW. I did that but they couldn't find it without a SKU.

Has any DVC member who has been on the Magic since June 11th purchased it?

The mailing said it would be released at some time later in June. When we boarded the Wonder June 19 it was not available. But two days later they had uncrated them and we purchased ours. We were thrilled as we did not expect that it would be available till end of June. Sorry you missed out. But a good excuse now to book another cruise!!

Carol - do you remember if it is limited edition? I hope they still have enough on the Wonder when we sail on the DVC Member Cruise in September.

I believe it was a limited edition, exclusive offer for DVC Mmebers only. I am sure they will have plenty for the DVC Members cruise.

the UPC or SKU would be great. When I called the number after we got off the cruise they wanted a number. They couldn't find it without a the SKU. (she did try too)

Are you cruising on points? We paid cash but are DVC members and I didn't get an e-mail. However we did book before we bought in to DVC. How can we get one?

Hi: I was on the 6/16 Wonder and purchased the model. Captain John signed it for me. I was unaware of this item, however, when I was in line for the Captain to sign another item, a cruiser in front of me had a model. The CM had to check a list to confirm that I was a DVC member and it is now sitting inside my curio cabinet.

Guess it probably won't be around when we go in March 2006. I would love a nice model of the ship! Can you order it without being on the ship (we are DVC members).

Yes we used points. We have done 4 cruises this way. It is the best way to go. There is a $75.00 charge to process the transaction. If you don't have enough points I do believe you can pay the difference. We have been going every other year that way we carry over points and get a bigger room. I just looked into going on the NCL cruise in Hawaii and the rooms are 1/2 the size and the cost is way more than $75.00 Even my 15 year old said maybe we should wait to see if Disney will go there in 2007! Smart girl.

We are sailing first time in October and wonder if it will still be available. I do hope so - what i.d. do you need to prove you are a member to get one. We did not book uising our points so wonder how Disney will know we are sailing.

You should have a membership card. I had to show mine to purchase DVC pins in the gift shop. Call them and tell them. On board they always have a little get together for DVC members. They give away things. On our last cruise June 4-11, we got to be in a movie. They were filming on board for the DVC and asked the DVC members to star. We each got $25.00 ship board credit too! (hardly covered my purchases at the art auction )
The film will be shown on board and at the resorts later. It will be about joining DVC. It will be interesting to see what gets put in and what gets cut...

Make sure you get your ship and your DVC pins....
I have to work on getting our ship now....
