I was reading a post from someone who just came back, can't find it now, that said the Magic menu is changing. Anyone else hear this, and when? I thought the menus changed about a year ago because some things were different last August. It would be fun if it was true and they changed by 8/14. Anybody out there have any feed back?

Uh-oh!! I already have my stomach primed for what I've seen on the menus. If they change it before the 14th, I'll have to re-calibrate my system!! :drinking1

This is in MamaQuack's "July 24 Magic" thread, posted by Khakismum on 8-1-04:

"* St. Martin is no longer a DCL port, it will be San Juan.
* Tropicali-fragilistic-expialidocious night will now be Pirates of the Caribbean night. The tropical deck party will be Pirate themed.
* The Magic started a new menu this week with the Magic's Western cruise 7/31-8/7"

That's all I could find so far...

FYI....

I called Disney and while on hold, they contacted Debbie in dining directly. She said there have not been any announcements about a theme night change for Western or any menu changes. They did say the menus change all the time -- usually small additions and deletions, but they are not aware of any major changes.

I would doubt there would be a major overhaul again so soon, never heard of the deck party changing but that could be cool, and I personally would love to have San Juan be a permanant port but not sure if that will happen.

Thanks for your replies, I thought there were no major changes or the boards would have been full of remarks.

we were on the july 3 sailing on the magic and our head server john said their will be menu changes coming in august but doesnt know the exact date hope this helps

Hey! I just came off the July 24-31 Eastern cruise. (You quoted me out of Mama Quacks post)

Our server Antonio and Head Server Jeevan told us we ate the last meals off the menus we had. They were changing the menus on the next cruise, the Western July 31 - Aug 6. :confused3 I can only pass along what they told me! Don't worry it will all be fabulous!!!

Can you tell me -- was that on a particular theme night, or just the regular rotation? And if so, which restaurant were you in?

Thanks.

They kept mentioning it all week for regular rotation. As far as "theme nights" go, Tropical night is turning into Pirates of the Caribbean night. I am so sorry I am missing that one! On tropical night the guys went to dinner in the grass skirts and coconut bras and the women went in eye patches and pirate do-rags! :hyper: (We were requested to lead the conga line around the dining room b/c of that! ;))

I wish we'd waited a month, my 6 year old DS LOVES all thing pirate related--he saw schooners that looked like pirate ships in both Cayman and Cozumel and was just dazzled by them. His favorite club activity was "so you want to be a pirate?"
Maybe next time! I'll save the tropical shirts, though.

i just got off the phone with DCL and they told me to bring the tropical shirts for now. depending on how the passangers take to the new theme on both eastern and western cruises. if its not liked they will go back to tropical and mexican themes. the new theme is to start according to DCL this next cruise on saturday

Hey Markey! We'll be sailing with you on the 14th too! As a matter of fact I think we travelled with you last August! Don't fret about the menus....we'll enjoy it no matter what! Were you on any March cruises?

We're sailing on the Aug. 14 Western also. I can't believe it's almost here--it's finally starting to seem real!!

Looking forward to meeting you!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :)

DanaD, last year we were on the Eastern 8/9. I'm not upset thinking of a menu or theme night change, I'm excited! I love to see changes an I am looking forward to the new show and club also. This will be great!

Wow, I would be excited if they had some menu changes...on the formal night menu I could not find one thing that I liked to eat, I ended up with the grilled chicken that is offered every night!

I checked the Disney web-site, and they still show the same menus they have posted for the past few weeks. So what has changed?

We are also going on the Nov. 13th magic cruise. We have all bought our tropical clothes. Should we still bring them?????
