Hey everyone! For all of you who followed my PTR- well, obviously I never finished it, lol, but I am trying to be a better DIS'er and this is actually my first, yes my FIRST TRIP REPORT EVER party:!!!
Arriving back from the World is not the most uplifting experience, so I figured I could hold onto the magic a little while longer, and relive it throught this trip report. On a side note, we are already planning our May 2017 trip- so that always helps the post Disney blues when we return. Now, off to the good stuff!!!!!

Following! We just got back Friday, and are considering a late April/early May 2017 trip!!

Now before I tell what we did each day, I will give you the basics of this trip. We actually traveled as a group of 10- Paul, Austin, and I, along with my parents, sister, aunt, uncle, and two cousins. We all traveled separately- we flew Spirit Airlines out of Atlantic City (I think we may officially be done with Spirit Airlines, more on that later lol), my parents and sister left the night before and drove down together (my mom hates flying), and my aunt, uncle, and cousins flew out of Baltimore (they actually live in PA, but somehow Baltimore is only an hour or so away from there house and they get really good deals through Southwest). Our other travel details:

Dates: April 12-19
Resort: All Star Movies-Preferred Section
Package: 8 days/7 nights- 6 day park hopper WDW, 2 day park to park Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure/DDP

I am only going to post pictures of Paul, Austin, and I because I don't know how the rest of my family feels about posting their pics out there (I'm sure they wouldn't mind, but still), so here is our little Disney crazed family:

This is actually a pic from our 2012 trip-I tried putting one up from this trip, but it is saying my picture is too large!?!?!!? I think I may have taken high resolution pics on our new camera because we really chewed through that memory card. I will have to see if I can resize them or something. Anywho, I just wanted you to get an idea of who we were, although we are 4 years younger in this pic lol.

I am actually going to backtrack to the day before our trip before I get to the good stuff because it is equally as entertaining.

Monday April 11th.

We woke up our usually 7:15am time to go to work/school. I swear I must've had the biggest smile on my face when I walked into the office that day. Coworkers of mine were saying "I can tell your going on vacation- your grinning from ear to ear!". And I totally was! I could not concentrate all day. I texted Paul off and on all day- he was not in total vacation mode yet because he had still had a lot of work to get done, but I didn't care, I was! I made sure everything was up to date ahead of time, and basically did things like checking my packing list on my Excel spreadsheet, browsing AllEars, STALKING the weather channel, and texting the rest of my family. My parents and sister left bright and early around 6:30am, and my Aunt, Uncle, and cousins were heading down to Baltimore around 2pm and flying out early the next morning. My mom and I text back and forth all day to see which state they were in. I could not concentrate on anything work related because I was just too darn excited!!!! Finally, around 4:15 or so, my Directors rolls up into my office and tells me to hit the road and to get an early start to my vacation!! Woo hoo!!!!! I practically ran out the door to my car, and as soon as I got in I yelled "VACATION YAY!!!!!! Paul had a meeting he had to go to, and didn't end up leaving work until around 6pm, so I opted to call my mother-in-law on the way home. She and my father-in-law would be stopping by every other day to take care of our cats. We chatted for a while, and then finally I arrived at my dad and stepmom's house to pick up Austin. We talked for a while, as my stepmom was driving us to the airport at 3:45 am the next morning, then headed out because I wanted to get a quick dinner for the three of us. Off to Wawa!!!! If anyone doesn't know what a Wawa is, it is a very popular convenience store/deli in NJ. I ordered three sandwiches and hit the road, as I still had some last minute things to get done at the house. We quickly ate, Austin did his homework, and I basically straightened things up until Paul got home. He ate, and we tidied up the house more, did some last minute packing, and loaded our enormous suitcases into the back of my Santa Fe. Austin was super excited so he showered and went straight to bed. He called me in a few times because he was having trouble sleeping-mainly because he was just too excited!!! Can you blame him? He dozed off around 8:30pm and I jumped in bed around 9-9:30pm. Then it happened- BING! A text from my Aunt saying she cannot sleep. Then a text from my mom saying "Whatcha wearing tomorrow...." lol and then back and forth. Then my mom texts "is Paul asleep?" so he jokingly texts her back "no because my wifes phone keeps binging!" We all got a kick out of it!!! Then my mom suggested turning the phone down and I said "no way, we have both our iphones and our alarm clock set, there is no way we are oversleeping!". Then I finally dozed off, just to have my sister text me at 10:30pm that they had made it to their hotel in Georgia. Then, it happened, I fell asleep. The next thing I knew, I was jumping out of bed as it was 2:30am already. Disney is pretty much the only thing I happily jump out of bed for. Up next- the official day one of our trip!!!! Goodnight all!
