Hi! We're going to Disney in May! Going for first time with my 10month old and 5 yr old daughters! We've planned to go to Magic Kingdom three days in a row. I've split up the days by getting fastpasses for different rides/princess meets each day. We also have a bday party for my niece at Cinderellas castle the second day. We are going with grandparents and a set of in laws and their kids. They like to take there time and go slow type of people, and they don't like waiting a long time for anything lol We don't want to rush around, being our stress level is already high travelling with other family members lol and are planning on standing in long lines for rides! Are goal is to go slow, see everything (including all parades, and night time shows) we also want to take advantage of our resort, by spending a chunk of time there mid days in the pool, and possibly going to downtown Disney one afternoon, and even leaving the park around 6 one night so when can get a good night sleep! We don't have park hoppers, only there for 5days, we know which parks were doing the other two days. I'm happy with my decision, and feel it's sounds some what relaxing, knowing that if we have meltdowns, or accidents, or need to leave MK for whatever reason ect we have 3 days to fill in what we missed! Plus I think knowing we have 3 days will keep me calm and will thus lessen any chance of fighting with the hubby haha! However on another forum when I mentioned 3days at MK a lot of ppl said I'm nuts! I figured 3days was a good number, and I already have fastpasses for all the major attractions including Elsa and Anna meet and greet! I just don't want to be stressed out, Or rushed, and with a 10monthold and a 5yr old I feel this is the best option?! Advice?

I am 20 and my mom and I are also going in May! I have planned 3 days in MK as well, some people here would think I'm crazy but MK is my favorite park and my mom hasn't been to Disney is about 4 years so I want her to ride everything we use to do when I was younger. She also doesn't ride thrill rides and I do but this trip is about us so the most thrilling rides at MK she has already said she wants to do.

I think it sounds lovely. Especially for your first trip and you are planning on doing the princesses and Cinderella's Royal Table. I think most of us here could be very happy spending parts of 3 days at MK. My last trip we had 6 day hoppers and we spent parts of 3 days there. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Question: Why are you going three days in a row? Consider doing every other day at MK.

Five days straight of theme parks with little ones will be tiring. It is possible to take it slow and leave early. I would leave the kids with an adult or two at the hotel and do not take them to DTD so they can rest. DTD is a tiring crowded event of it own.

Enjoy !!!!!

Why shouldn't you do 3 Mk days in a row!? I have 3 Mk days planned for my trip too, because like you, I have an infant and a 6 year old. We will be moving slower, taking breaks midday, going to bed early, etc etc....all reasons why we need more time at Mk then other families may need. Don't let anyone bug you, if you feel your plans is going to work best for your group! I think your plan makes sense! Totally feel you on the stress caused by traveling with extended family. Good luck, have fun!

I would love to do MK 3 days in a row.... but unfortunately I love EPCOT way too much and must spend equal amount of time with my OTHER favorite park :)

I'd probably avoid DHS if you are wanting to skip a park. There is a bit more for a 5yo boy, than a girl (Star Tours, LMA, Indians Jones), and Fantasmic can be too intense for some younger ones, unless she really wants to go on ToT ;)

Now I see, you already know your other 2 parks. I know I'd wind up in MK for 3+ days on any 6+ day trip, so I do t think your plan is too unreasonable. Personally, I would rather start and end a trip in MK, so I would break those days apart.

We are doing three days in a row bc Sunday when we arrive it's a half day, so we are doing Epcot late afternoon/evening fastpassed the firework show. Monday we gotta go to MK bc my daughter will go nuts if we don't, I have Belle story time, little mermaid ride and meet Ariel fastpassed. Tuesday we have a birthday party so we have to go to MK(we don't have park hopper) and Wednesday was the only day I could get Elsa and Anna fastpasses! Plus I fastpassed Peterpan and meet Rupunzle and Cinderella! So that's why we gotta do three in a row! Last day HS bc my 5yr old doesn't want to do AK
