Magic Kingdom Tram Question

We are staying off-site for the first time this weekend and have never utilized the tram. We have a driving estimate of 25 minutes from our Bonnet Creek hotel.

About how much time should we allot for parking, the tram, and the ferry? We have an 8:20 ressie at BOG Sunday morning.

For 9am opening, we strive to be in the lot no later than 8am. It is the tram plus monorail or ferry.

So I would suggest no later than 7:30am for you to be parking.

But isn't Bonnet Creek "on property"? I can't see it taking 25 minutes. It took us 25 minutes to get on property from our hotel by Sea World.

That early in the morning I don't think you'd need the tram? Unless it is a holiday? Disney's rule of thumb is allow 1.5 hours travel time to your destination.

I agree with PP that you might not need the tram.
Usually, if you arrive early enough, you're within walking distance of the TTC.
Try to get to the parking lot about an hour before your ADR, that way if the ferry or monorail is having a delay you have plenty of time to get to MK.

I have driven to MK many times, always planning to arrive for RD. Rarely was the tram running at that time. Also, we were often on the first ferry of the day. The OP will be arriving much earlier than that so they should expect to have to walk from parking lot to TTC and to take the monorail. I would also plan on arriving at the parking lot one hour before their ADR.

The tram is a joke, we never use it. It's just as easy and quick to walk, and you don't have to worry about crowdsomeone of people that are too dumb to preload their strollersite or stand with their toescapes behind the line. We did the tram once and will never use it again.

For reservation of 8:20. I'd be in the parking lot by 7:20-7:30 (and you'll still have plenty of time). You won't have to worry about the tram, just walk. We only take the tram if we're in the very back of MK parking lot and it just arrived.
