Magic Kingdom to Whispering Canyon Cafe at wilderness lodge?

I was thinking of dining at Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge, but heard it wasn't worth the tricky transportation from MK. I will be using Disney transportation and wanted to get some opinions on whether it was worth the trip?

We are going for the first time in October...but my BIL said you just need to take the ferry over. I'm interested to see what other posters have to say though...

We are staying at the WL next month. When you leave MK head for the ferry that will take you to WL or take the resort bus that goes to WL. The bus may be faster but the ferry boat is a fun ride.

It's not tricky at all. You can take the boat from MK to WL or you can take a bus to WL. WCC is located inside the lobby of WL, you can't miss it and you will have a great time. Enjoy!

I think the trip is worth it...food is good ....take the ferry, its a nice trip around the lake ...the only time its a hassle is when the MK is closing

Make sure you check which dock you are at, if you take the actual ferry boat you will end up at TTC. Go to the dock that says WL/FW and take the launch to WL the boat will go to FW first then to WL(that is the route after 3pm before that it goes MK, WL, FW). WCC is a fun place to eat and worth the boat or bus ride.

I agree. Not tricky and definitely worth it. We did the trip for lunch. The kids loved the boat ride over and exploring the hotel after lunch. They played on the playground while we relaxed in the sun in the lounge chairs.
