Magic Kingdom the Saturday before Easter or Easter Sunday?

I seem to have a never-ending supply of questions! Thanks to all who've helped me on previous threads, help me on this thread, and will help me on future threads! LOL!

I'm currently trying to decide which (insanely crowded) day to go to MK. So here are my questions:

1. Is it a safe bet that MK will open early (7am EMH?) for both Saturday and Sunday? Currently says opening at 9am, but I'm guessing that will change?

2. If both days have 7am EMH, and we plan to get there at 6:30-6:40am, would it matter which day we went in terms of crowds? Will one be better than the other, or will they be about even?

3. Which would you do? Saturday is our first day in the parks if that matters.

Well, right now easyWDW has Saturday as not recommended and Sunday as recommended, although not the most recommended park that day.

We started our Saturday before Easter at MK this year. We had EMH, so we went in, rode Space Mountain twice in a row with no wait, got breakfast, and then made our way around the rest of the park, without FPs. It was not that bad. We watched the Festival of Fantasy parade in Liberty Square with pretty good spots (right against the rope). We ate at CHH with minimal wait and had no trouble finding a table upstairs.
We park-hopped to DHS after a mid-afternoon break.

I've been to MK several times on Easter Sunday and it isn't too bad at all. We usually do a different park on the Saturday before, either HS or Epcot.

Touring Plans has both days listed as 9/10. They have AM EMH on the Friday, 3/25, not on Saturday or Sunday. I didn't think they usually did AM EMH on Saturdays or Sundays at MK, but it could be different due to Easter. I don't know if that schedule will change. It seems very likely though that the regular opening time could move to 8am, instead of 9am.

Glad to see reports of neither day being too terrible. I think I'm going to stick with the original plan of going on Easter Sunday. I'm hopeful that they will move that opening up to 8am, and will offer 7am EMH, as that seems to be the usual for holidays. We plan to be there for the opening show and then will head straight to Peter Pan, do some Fantasyland and Tomorrowland attractions, then we have an early(10:30) lunch at Be Our Guest. When we're done there, I'm hoping we can catch the train in Fantasyland, ride it to Main Street station, and perhaps be able to get in position to catch the early run (providing they have one as they have in the past) of the Easter/Festival of Fantasy parade as it makes it's way onto/down Main Street. We will stay near the train station and then leave once the parade has passed. We'll be back in he MK on Tuesday for Liberty Square, Adventureland, and Frontierland attractions with FastPasses, and later that same night (our last night) for fireworks, MSEP, and some late night rides since they are open until midnight.
Hoping this strategy will help us deal with crowds a bit better.

We will be there at the same time we are planning to go HS on Saturday and the MK on Sunday. We will be having Easter dinner at BOG. We can't wait

I'm glad I saw this thread because I never would have realized that there was a possibility the MK could open at 7am the Saturday before Easter.
I have a 8:15 ADR at Crystal Palace the Saturday before Easter since the MK open at 9am. It's tradition for us and we always like to get into the park before it opens. But now I'm reading they may add EMH and open at 7am! I don't usually go to the Disney at the holidays so I am not familiar with this. Is this a real possibility and if so should I change my MK day to Friday and do AK on Saturday? Any advice would be appreciated!

Someone more "in the know" will have to confirm the probability of the early opening. I've read that MK often adjusts hours during holidays, and that they move the general opening up an hour and then offer a 7am EMH on top of that. This is what I've heard about Christmas, Thanksgiving (I think), and Easters past. But who knows? The original operating hours I saw for MK on our dates said 9am-11pm. They now say 9am-12am. I would think there are good odds they will open earlier than 9am on Easter Sunday and it's possible that might be the case on the Saturday prior, though I've not seen anything official either way.

Thanks for the info. I will keep checking park hours and make other ADR's just in case they do change the hours.
