Magic Kingdom Restaurants

your best bet is definately to hop the monorail and go to 'ohana or the Kona Cafe

There is a restaurant next to the ice cream shop on the way up to noodle terrace. Simple sandwich and burger place but very good.

Make sure you book the Fireworks Dessert Party at Noodle Terrace. It is an all you can eat dessert buffet in the front seating of Noodle Terrace by the water. You have great view of the fireworks while enjoying desserts.

Have fun.

oh, that sounds awesome, thanks!

Thanks for all your suggestions! So far, Tonys, LTT, CRT & Crystal Palace are a definite! We added Ohana and Chef Mickeys. I'm a little scared of GF restaurants :scared:8 kids...in the Grand Floridian?? I could see us now......:rotfl:

We have only had table service at Crystal Palace. I would recommend it. The food was good and you can get in and out fairly quickly leaving you more time in the park. But seriously, if you can, there are so many options from MK to go dine at resorts. You have everything at the Contemporary, Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and even the Wilderness Lodge is only a short boat ride away. They take a little bit more time out of your day, but really open up your choices. And if you are on the DxDDP, you have some well reviewed restaurants in your reach (Artist Pointe, Narcoosee's)

here I am going throw a wrench into the love fest for LTT, we thought It was ok, at best. Our love at MK Is CP(so you see this is where asking our oppion is going to get you:rotfl2:) Breakfast, lunch and Dinner we love them all. I would wait a hour to get Into CP before getting seatted asap at LTT. But just remeber what I think, is diffrent then what someone else would think. I say try them both one for lunch and one for dinnier?

To each their own, but I am going to agree with a PP in that Liberty Tree seemed kinda like opening up a frozen Stouffer's meal and popping it in the micro. :confused3 It was OK, but nothing to write home about, except I really enjoyed the atmosphere.

OTOH we had dinner at Crystal Palace at the beginning of this month and loved the food - something for everyone and the Mediterranean Chicken was to die for. The atmosphere was nothing to write home about - loud, busy, kids everywhere - but hey, its a character buffet in the MK, that's to be expected. The character interaction was pretty good too, although it took quite a while for the characters to come around... in their defense, it WAS 6 PM, just pre-MNSSHP... they were slammin' busy.

CRT is our favorite at MK but a hard ressie to get. You might be surprised about the buffet at GF. It might be a good option with children. Haven't done the breakfast but the dinner is a family atmosphere and has Cinderella without giving-up the 2 credits at CRT.

Glad you are considering some of the MK resort offerings too. WL has WCC as well. GF has 1900 Park Fare with Cinderella Characters and is pretty neat! LTT is probably my favorite TS in MK (even though for whatever reason our first try was in 2008) Actually with the FD, we did try many more of the TS,(in past trips about 2 TS per visit!)

We also love CP but also ate at Tony's, CRT and The Plaza. Tony's is hit or miss...we've been a couple times and once we loved it and the second time it was just so/so. The food at CRT is horrible (we've eaten there 3 times) but the atmosphere is awesome. We were pleasantly surprised with The Plaza this past trip. We ended up having to change a reservation at the last minute and this was all we could get. The food was yummy, location can't be beat and the desserts were scrumptious! I'd try it, especially with the DDP....what have you got to lose?

We really like LTT and go every time we are there but we've only done lunch. I think it's very good.

We are having breakfast at CP before the park opens on our upcoming trip. Then we have the latest lunch ressie at LTT. The lunch menu looks really good, and I just don't see the point of having a turkey dinner I could make at home. We liked Tony's 10 years ago, but no longer. With all of the options right on the monorail or across the lake at WL, do not eat dinner in the park!! A large group like your family would probably have a great time at Whispering Canyon!

If you are not looking for anything fancy, The Plaza is very good. I do love the Crystal Palace if you are looking at doing a buffet. We have done both breakfast and dinner there, and both meals were very good.

The Plaza won't guarantee seating a party this large together! We had 7 and they told us we may have to be seated at 2 tables. The place is really tiny. Maybe with kids they would seat you together. (we only had one) We do love the food. Pretty much the only place we eat for sit down at MK. But with kids do a character meal and let the kids enjoy. They don't care about the food!

i like liberty tree tavern for lunch but for dinner (since it's "sponsored" by stouffers) is exactly what you'd expect from a frozen stouffers dinner you get at the supermarket. crt's food is just ok but at least once in your life you have to eat in the castle. if you like buffets then crystal palace. if the plaza can't sit a large group then i'd suggest catching a place on the monorail loop. it really doesn't take much time and the meals are much better. ohana's is loud and fun, citricos, narcoossee's, and the california grill are all nice signature places. if your not sure about the menus check out allears.net. they have it arranged to easily check out the menus of wdw.

To each their own, but I am going to agree with a PP in that Liberty Tree seemed kinda like opening up a frozen Stouffer's meal and popping it in the micro.

This is exactly the way we felt about The Liberty Tree and we also thought the service was bad as well. We won't be going back. Instead, this time we are going to try The Wave at the Contemporary for lunch.

Disclaimer: Theme park table service meals outside of Epcot are only an occasional thing for us.

Crystal Palace seem surprisingly good last time we went; it's a place I'd go to in spite of the characters. Only problem, it always seems to take ages to get a table: last time, we checked in 10 minutes early but was finally seated more than 30 minutes late.

Plaza is simple stuff, but a great place to go for ice cream desserts!

We'll have to put Liberty Tree back on the list for an upcoming trip soon. We've only been there for lunch.

Agreed that the monorail resorts tend to serve better food. I'd be a little leary about taking 8 kids to a signature restaurant unless they are very used to the more sedate, relaxed pace that comes with them. But most of the others should be fine. And as for the Grand Floridian, I think nobody will even notice another 8 kids at 1900 Park Fare! :cheer2::dance3::banana::yay:

We really enjoy The Plaza. It is a must do for us every trip. It is simple food, soup, snadwich, salad, but it is always well done and we enjoy the atmosphere. The tomato soup is really, really good, and I like the burger there as well as the club. I am not a ruben fan, but DH says it is good. The desserts are FAB!

We have done CRT lunch and are going agian this year for dinner. Here, you are paying to dine with princesses in the castle. It is NOT a $50 meal, but the food is not bad. We enjoy it.

We have done CP for breakfast and thought it was realy good. Lots to choose from and good character interaction.

We are trying Tony's this year. The reviews on it are mixed, but we have several friends that really like it.

Don't know about LTT. The "meat and potatoes" aspect of it never appealed to me. I cook that at home all the time.

We love pecco bills for QS. They have a great taco salad and the best toppings bar. We love CP for breakfast but, didn't like the dinner. Its nice to book an early breakfast and get in before rope drop. We liked CRT for the ambiance but, the food was just ok. It is really pricey too. We love the hoop Dee doo review its a must do! So another vote for taking a boat to the resorts!

in order that i've been to:

1. Crystal Palace- love it!
2. Tony's- like it
3. CRT- its pretty good
4. Liberty tree tavern- eh, not really a fan.
