Magic Kingdom Parades Question

Why do the two Magic Kingdom parades go in opposite directions through the park?Thanks. :)
 
It is the way they end up in the staging area. Now, Spectro always starts on Main St. This is to allow better foot traffic to the exit. Since so many people leave right afterwards.
