Magic Kingdom opening?

Do any of you make a point of being at the Magic Kingdom (or any other parks) for the opening ceremony.

Is it worth seeing?

I am not so concerned with the lower crowd levels I assume would be present early morning, but have never experienced opening at any park and was just wondering what it was like!

Is it worth the early rise???

I've never been at Magic Kingdom at the "official" opening (been there for EMH's, but didn't see any morning activity stuff) but I have been to the opening to Animal Kingdom twice, and I do like that: you get to see Mickey "scale" the Tree of Life

My kids and I caught the end of the MK opening...granted it was on Mother's Day but it did bring a tear to my eye and made me feel like a kid! I loved it! I can't help you with any of the others. I was lucky to get everyone moving to catch the one I did!!

It's my favorite opening show for sure. I can't give you a real reason, but it makes it all real for me, and I tear up too. I get really excited for the people who get chosen to open the park!

The last couple trips we have had pre-opening ADRs which I also like, so I'm really torn about which is best for us!

I have watched it several times. We usually watch it in the middle but we try and to get closer to the gates right before its open.

I have been to WDW 10 times and only saw the MK opening by accident this past trip. (We were trying to get to the Barber Shop at opening to get my daughter's first haircut.) I loved it! I will definintely make an effort to be there early again this trip. Have fun!

When we were at WDW this fall, we went to every park opening. We enjoyed them all. They each are unique and worth seeing. Usually a family gets chosen to help with the opening. I guess my favorite is at Hollywood Studio. You should try to make it. This was the first time we had seen an opening ceremony of all the times we had been in the past and wished we had seen them before.
