Magic Kingdom on Monday

What will the crowds be like? Do you think its a good idea to go directly to fantasyland and ride dumbo and the other fantasyland attractions first thing when the park opens? what kinds of waits should I expect?

Its generally not a good idea to do MK on your first day due to the fact that its the most popular and probably the best park, so any parks you go to after that can't sustain the excitement or intrigue. Especially for little ones in your party. And also, Monday is the busiest day at MK because most people do go to MK on their first day ( which is usually a Monday ) of their trip. Do MK last.

Friday is my 1st day and we'll be at AK, Monday will be our 4th day. I'm hoping that MK will not be busy because of off season and it being a Monday. I also scheduled MK for our last day and CRT dinner right before we drive home and we'll be at MVMCP on Tuesday but only for christmas stuff, not the rides.

When we went to MK on Monday (our first day) and Tuesday (second day) .. they were comparable with very low waits (mind you, it was Oct 16th and 17th) .. What dates are you going? Space Mtn, Thunder Mtn, and Splash were all 10-20 mins at the peak.

I think if you get there at opening, head straight for Fantasyland, you'll be able to get all the rides done by 10:30am. And yes, get to Dumbo first!

Toontown opens at 10am, so head there when you are finished with Fantasyland. Then take the "secret" path from Toontown to Tommorrowland. You can get a ride in or two before lunch.

If you don't get to MK at opening, then you may get hit with the crowds. I know they say Mondays are bad at MK, but I know reading the posts on here everyone is saying Monday mornings at opening aren't too bad during the slow season.
